Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?

"We must leave a child for Freda." I ate my meal silently, my heart feeling like it had been torn apart. "Timothy is such a good man." Phillip suddenly looked at me. "Not every husband can be so... tolerant." He deliberately emphasized the word 'tolerant', his eyes full of mockery. Carrie glanced at me coldly. "Timothy has no talent, but he's obedient." Fiona immediately defended me, saying, "Mom, don't say that. Timothy is hardworking." Henry scoffed. "Hardworking? What can a normal employee provide for you, Fiona? Phillip drives a Ferrari and lives in a villa, while Timothy can't even afford a decent watch."

“I think I love book coffee dates.” I lift my head from the book I’ve been stuck on page forty-two for five minutes. Not that ‘Normal People’ by Sally Rooney isn’t good. It’s painfully good. But trying to hold up this masquerade is frying every single brain cell I own. One wrong sentence from me and proof, busted.
