The Devil's Kiss

The Devil's Kiss

I proudly said. It is a black book with an illuminating stone in the middle of it like an evening star. I wrap my arms around it and held it tightly. How I wish Dylan and my family were here to witness my achievement. I'm sure they would be proud of me. A few moments later, the main door of the library opened and Erythaea shows up. "I see that you finally found your grimoire," she is pleased to say. "Yes, I did, and I would like you to meet my grimoire, Vespertine."

The Lullaby of Wolfbane

The Lullaby of Wolfbane

I take a slow breath and let my wolf show, eyes bright, spine straight, refusal absolute. “I will never be yours,” I say. Mary’s muffled voice suddenly screams from a nearby cell, ragged and frantic, like she’s been listening and finally realized something. Rowan doesn’t even glance in her direction. And that, more than anything, makes my stomach turn. Even lovesick Mary is disposable to him. Rowan’s smile returns, colder now. “Fine.” He looks at Melody. “Vesperbane uses nightthorn extract and violet kelp binder. It rides the blood and burns the nerves. You can slow it with silverleaf and moonmilk, but you won’t reverse it without."

Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

Or he might want to put a ring on it to keep her in his world all the same… he falls for her first? And he falls hard. But Vesper isn’t the romantic type or the marriage type either! And she’s certainly not a woman ready to be bound by the politics of powerful men! VESPER’S P.O.V. The shop always smells the same before midnight. The smell of Green soap, Isopropyl alcohol and Stencil paper and the faint metallic heat from the machines I’ve been running since noon. Under that, patchouli incense burns low in the corner near the flash wall.

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

Artemisia had briefly forgotten that that day wasn't normal, she's starting to realize, and think, that maybe she's not the one who's going crazy. The girl approached the shelves and Helga's voice danced again in her mind. "The navy blue cover book will tell you a story, I can't tell you which one, only the book is entitled to that." Artemisia didn't understand, but soon found the book near the second door. It was a heavy book, but not as thick as expected. It had a glow reminiscent of sunbeams touching the greenish water of a river or lake. It also had nymphs drawn on the cover and side of the leaves.

Alpha Erik

Alpha Erik

Libro Vitae whispered its voice harmonious. "Libro Vitae, please show me where Alastair is hiding," I asked. The book hummed in response. Libro Vitae became warm in my hands. The cover opened, pages flipped continuously until they suddenly stopped. The words on the page jumped off the paper, floating into the air, wrapping themselves around me. In a blink of an eye, I was pulled into the book. Light flooded my vision. Every sound echoed around me. Voices raced past me, speaking in riddles. Some shouting, screaming, others a dull whisper. Libro Vitae's voice became louder as I watched the trees form around me.

Mrs Magnolia
Don’t let the price of the chapters fool you, these are the longest chapters I’ve ever seen. The price is well worth the amount you’re receiving. One of the best books yet, not only does the author do a wonderful job telling the story but also keeps you intrigued the entire time.

Love how this story is written. I have read the entire series and I can say it is a whirlwind of emotions. Alpha Erik is the first of the five book series and it stole my heart from the start. Definitely worth the read! Big chapters too!

Aegis Group Dangerous Ladies

Aegis Group Dangerous Ladies

It was the exact shade of peach as Nabanita's book cover had been, though a little worse for wear. Aspen pulled down a notebook and turned to face them. "I'll need those titles for my TBR, please?" What did he say? Had Lumen noticed? How were they proceeding? If Aspen had read her mother's book, if she still had it, that was good, right? He licked his lips. The sooner they figured all of this out, the quicker he could get Lumen out of here. "Hey, I recognize that one." He put his elbows on the desk and pointed at Nabanita's book. "Isn't that one about a woman who grew up a Creedite?"

VELVET

VELVET

A deluge of works scattered throughout the room and hours spent conjuring up concept after concept, yet nothing stuck the way I thought it would. It wasn't that I didn't love every bit of meaning and intention I had put into Femme de Sexe, but a novel inclination that I wanted more than surface-level exploration. There was a personal aspect still missing. Settling on the last piece, a book medium, I found the donation rather peculiar. The only thing that tilted the cover were the words Sine Qua Non in embroidered cursive. Sifting through the pages revealed that it was a journal filled with excerpts and prose, possibly love letters of intimacy exchanged between two people.

His Betrayal, My Second Chance

His Betrayal, My Second Chance

Would that explain why Vestra appeared and told me I was the one who called for her? Gosh! My head is hot right now. I can’t even place a finger on what’s happening. Why? Why was I the only one who could see the content in the book? “Are you sure you can’t see what’s written in this book? Look well, Dante. You’re probably mistaken,” I said. I needed to confirm what he was saying. “I can’t see anything, Camille. You’re probably the one mistaken.”
