He looked around at the new world around him frantically, obviously confused. “Lady Abigail,” I heard from behind me and turned around. “Hermes,” I wondered where he had gone. “Hermes, please, tell me what happened.” I rose and walked to him, he no longer had his golden staff with wings. He seemed just as confused as the warrior I just healed, “I was in the heavens, staying away from the battle, then suddenly I came here, and now I am unable to open the portals and the device is missing.”

Its eyes burned like molten obsidian. The ritual ended with a sound like a crack of thunder inside the earth. Kane opened his eyes, and for a heartbeat, I didn’t recognize him. His gaze was still his… but rimmed with shadow. His skin seemed to drink in the light. Then the Hollow came. It tore itself from the fissure, massive and terrible, a shape of shifting stone and shadow bound together by a core of blinding hunger. Its eyes, that’s if they could be called that locked on me, and I felt its intent as clearly as if it had spoken: I was prey.

I got to the library, where the noise came from, and pressed a discreet button under one of the shelves. The shelves gave way in two, revealing the dark hallway that led to the dungeon. I was right. Dante Alvarez was right there on the floor, battered and bloodied, being kicked around and punched viciously, by the hefty, tattooed men that were in the dungeon with him. As I approached the dungeon doors, the men mounted there came towards me, brandishing the golf clubs in their hands menacingly, and I let out a dry scoff. It wasn’t like they stood a chance against me with those…

He kissed her forehead gently, offering a silent promise of protection, of love. Meanwhile, Kane and Bree had ventured to investigate the Hollow Fang relic. The moment they laid eyes on it, they saw that it was no longer the impenetrable object it had once been. It was fully cracked now, split cleanly in two. The fissure ran from top to bottom, and the relic no longer hummed with the power it once did. Something was wrong. And yet, it wasn’t just the relic that had changed.

He smiled while they screamed and thrashed in agony, a glint in his eyes. Blake didn’t give up and continued the torture for hours while the few warriors that joined us kept running out to bring coffee and food. If torture were an art, Blake was an exceptionally creative artist. I had never even thought to imagine all the different ways a body could be disfigured. And as if he was a professor, Blake patiently lectured us on the benefits of each knife he was using. He showed off his clip point—good for quick, deep puncture and withdrawal. Then his drop point—good for skinning. Finally, his needlepoint—perfect for thrusting. All things I'd have been perfectly content never knowing.

Nighttime and drowned in his world the gaint didn't realize a small figure running through the dark, from the opposite side of the alley, right towards him. ~ BAM~ The phone went down on the street with a loud clank sound, which was once in the hands of the gaint just mere seconds ago. The clash between that small figure and gaint caused both of them to fall hard to the ground. "WHAT THE FUCKING HELL... "

I remind her again landing a kiss on her pouty lips, she smiles and blushes a pretty pink color that makes her look even younger than she is, I get my purse and get ready to leave, Elle, wave goodbye to me. I make it toward the parking and to my car, I open the trunk and check that I have everything I need, my gun, tracking devices, my safe line, my laptop, then finally my favourite part, my kit. I have a full torture and extraction kit, including some small knives that vary in size, my favourite knife, my first purchase, it was more for good luck than usage, next I had to sever pliers for different reasons, some to extract teeth, others for fingernails. Finally, I had a few hammers, my favo

"I won't let them harm us." Aunt Cleo's voice sliced through the air like a warning bell, her words laced with urgency and gravity. "Aqua, you need to grasp the true threat of the coven. They're not just ordinary casters. Each possesses unique abilities, ranging from unnaturally swift regeneration and inhuman strength to the sinister power to manipulate creatures and even people, turning them into spies. Some even boast of an unnerving form of immortality, extending their lives far beyond the natural order. And worst of all, they have the terrifying capability to absorb the powers of other casters."

I know I was fucked up, but it didn't do any better when these creatures found their way to my home and dragged me out, only to throw me into chaos with a handful of their crazy siblings who I don't know how always bring the best out of a situation where all I can see is gray everywhere around me. "Any updates so far?" Logan leads me toward the table where our group is chatting and taking snapshots on their phones. Before taking my seat, I shook my head. "No, but they are still here." He passes me a drink, "Waiting for the order then?" "I don't take orders to. . . kill." I gave him a knowing look. Making sure no one could hear us, I leaned onto him. "Merely waiting for someone big to come an

He didn't want to believe it. Anthony bit his lip, and his eyes trailed to the ground below him. The place looked so ethereal, like a sort of fantastical world. The grass was long beneath him, and the breeze swirled through the blades delicately. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "Why?" "I'm sorry I let this happen. I couldn't save you. I tried. I watch you die, George. I tried to save you...avenge you. I thought I was strong enough," The fallen knight stammered out his apology. "I wasn't. I know you probably didn't even want me to fight Solace... I had to. I had to do something." He clenched his fists. "I told myself that even if it was the last thing I did, I would do it for you."
