A PAWN & A KING ~ALICE’S POV~ I was still standing there, staring at the door Noah had just walked through, trying to piece my sanity back together. But that was the thing about sanity. Once it cracks, it doesn’t take much to shatter. A low groan cut through the silence. I turned slowly, my stomach flipping as I saw Edward stir on the floor. Another groan, and he rolled onto his side, wincing as he dragged himself up onto his elbows.

With each chant, with each memory, with each wish for a brighter future, the vortex grew, challenging the very essence of the abyss. "Release her!" Altair shouted, his voice echoing through the void. "With light and shadow, we stand united!" Liora proclaimed. "For Meranthia and for the forgotten guardian, we defy you!" Zephyr added. Seraphina, the rose's glow illuminating her determined face, whispered, "For love, sacrifice, and hope, we reclaim our destiny." The abyss wailed, a cacophony of despair, as the vortex enveloped it. And then, in a blinding flash, everything went still.

The abyss roared, a maelstrom of snapping threads and searing light, the primordial star’s pulse a final reckoning for all existence. Jessica scrambled to her knees, blood dripping from gashes across her ribs, her arm limp as the first weaver’s radiant void unleashed a blast of primal energy, a wave of light and shadow that shredded the abyss’s molten floor, forcing her to dive behind a crumbling spire, the shockwave bruising her back. “I won’t break us!” she screamed, her voice raw with love and defiance, her hollowness a supernova clawing for her companions.

"I thought that control was the only thing that prevented me from shattering. That if I just controlled everything—my business, my relationships, even you—I would never shatter. But I was wrong. I lost you, and I shattered." Isla didn't know what to say. Her rage had been such a faithful companion. Letting it go now was like skydiving without a parachute. "And what of Vivienne?" she asked, not wincing when she spoke the name. "You were betrothed to her while leaving me notes under my door." Killian let out a slow breath, the guilt weighing his shoulders down.

“Sylva called it the Abyss the final anchor, where the Veil’s power peaks. If we secure it, we could end this her, the void, maybe even the Architect.” Lyra’s shard flickered, her voice my voice soft but firm. “The remnants warned me about the Abyss,” she said, her eyes distant, like she saw the city’s spires instead of sand. “It’s not just a node it’s the Veil’s edge, where the chaos beyond is closest. The keepers there aren’t echoes or souls they’re shades, fragments of the Veil’s chaos, bound to the Abyss, to us.” Killian kicked a stone, his face grim. “Shades, echoes, keepers why can’t we just fight something normal, like a bear? I’d take a bear right now.”

Breaking her legs was from her past life, and he knew. Apparently, he had been reborn, too. That was why he could pull her out of harm's way just in time when the truck came, changing the outcome of her past life. "So, you're reborn, too?" she asked. And at the center of it all, a single figure—neither god nor mortal, but something in between—falling into the abyss. Arkenox. We follow corridors that seem to go on forever, passing chambers filled with treasures and knowledge and things that mortal eyes probably shouldn't see. And finally, we reach the central sanctum. It's a circular chamber with a domed ceiling that shows the stars—or maybe shows what stars used to look like before the Shattering. At the center, on a platform of pure light, lies a figure.

The Aethel-Haven was no longer a paradise; it was a Fragmented-Reality (a dimension where the physical laws are breaking down). Where golden wheat had once swayed, there were now only rows of gray, vibrating voxels. The lavender sky had been replaced by a Void-Expanse, a cold, black ceiling pulsing with the rhythmic strobes of the Exterminator Dreadnoughts looming above the fractures. Then, the assault began.
