The team leader looks at his phone and reads the message. The Torso killer will be seen at downstreet, Loki Village- the message shows. "Team, go to the Loki Village and start your search there." The team leader orders through his walkie-talkie. "Are you still trusting that message?" Aaron asked. "You know how helpful this person to our team." He replied. "But you don't know that person." I rushed to her side, making some vampires dead, the pressure around her tensed up. "Kendell," she said, relief in her voice as she faced me. I had waited patiently for the day she would look at me affectionately and not as one who was a beast, or who had killed her sister. "Alexa!" I screamed back, making my way to her, but the warriors never seemed to reduce—the more I killed, the more they came, like swarms of locusts.

My beast bristled, reminding me how inexplicable this has all been so far. "That's good, now we wait. We have no idea when they'll attack. There are still two more packs between us and the last pack they attacked. They'll either attack one of those before us or maybe they have enough strength and aid to just attack us now," Victor's timber drawl was all alpha, all control and poise. There was no loving lilt in his words. No warmth in his oceanic eyes. No trace of a smile etching into crease lines.
