His fingers lingered against my cheek for a moment longer than necessary. "I don't think you'd ever do that," he said softly. "You're too stubborn." "Cut!" Victoria called out. "That was perfect. Let's do it again, but this time I want you to actually touch. Hold her hand. Make it real." We did it again. Beck took my hand, his thumb tracing circles on my palm. We repeated the dialogue. His voice was soft when he spoke about his fears. Mine was steady when I talked about my own.

"Got it. I'll be fine. You be careful." Indeed, Victor was completely fine. He was fast, and when the beams struck, he managed to block every single one of them. Moreover, Victor didn't face the same problem as Windfall. The beams didn't stick to the Pulse Halberd. It probably wasn't by choice. The beams were simply unable to do so. Victor's weapon was an enhanced pulse weapon. The weapon itself came with a pulse. The pulse waves would cancel out these beams, so the beams were blocked before they even got close.

We crashed to the ground, punches flying. Vincent and Elijah took advantage of the distraction. Their combined strength overwhelmed Kael, shattering his defenses. The warlock stumbled back, his powers waning. "It's over," Vincent declared. But Rebecca refused to yield. "Vincent, you'll pay!" she spat, summoning a hidden dagger. I reacted instinctively, grabbing her wrist. The dagger trembled, poised to strike. "Rebecca, stop!" Vincent pleaded. Rebecca's eyes flashed. "Too late for mercy!"

This was going to be fun. Very, very fun. Victor pulled out his phone, dialing a number. “She’s back,” he murmured. The voice on the other end chuckled. “Then let the real game begin.” To Be Continued…

She doesn't take ten steps before Rebekah intercepts her path near the stone wall. Seeing her face, Vicky barks sharply, "State your business before my unit, Rebekah!" Rebekah leans in with a wicked, quiet laugh. "I am just moving through the sector to offer my congratulations." Perplexed by the greeting, Vicky asks, "Congratulations for what action?" Rebekah smiles like a demon, her teeth flashing in the moonlight. "For soon becoming the absolute, undisputed champion of the Blackwell Vanguard. Chika, the little troublemaker, is facing a permanent purge from the sector. Your throne remains completely safe."

Mama narrowed her eyes as she hit lightly on my back with the rolling pin, "At least respect your mother and don't curse in front of me." I huffed, I barely cursed but some people tended to grate on my nerves. Rolling my eyes, I let myself out of the bed, "Whoever this god is, we will make him eat his words. He is so gonna regret it." "Just don't go near him," Mama sighed as she watched me brush my teeth, "He is a Victor." My eyebrows scrunched as I met her eyes through the mirror, "The Victors?" She nodded. "Why would Victors come to our restaurant?" My voice was muffled as I looked back at her, "They're rich and super snobby. They don't eat in local eatella."

He instantly gains on her and holds his wife’s jaw. “Don’t you dare talk to me like that! Don’t try my patience, or else you’ll see” He emphasized everything he said. Aisha can’t stop but laugh, not minding the tightness of Duke’s grip on her jaw. “What are you going to do now, Duke? Will you hurt me? Then do it! And let everyone know how beast you are, that the boss there looking up to is heartless when it comes to his wife.” Aisha was dumbfounded about where she got the courage to speak back.

But, most importantly, he didn't look like he was about to commit murder. She didn't know why, but when she got to this section of the store and saw his back she instantly remembered B3055. She immediately called out to him without thinking, nevertheless, she quickly realized that she would benefit from having him as a friend and teammate because he was going to have a lot of defensive power which can also be turned into offensive power with the right strategy, so she wanted to tell him about the oncoming apocalypse.
