"Yes, Nelson, that's correct." Helen couldn't help but feel victorious, thinking that she'd won another unspoken battle over me.

Helen suggested with a big friendly smile. I could always rely on Helen to help with anything. She was a great friend, and I appreciate her, especially now. “Yes, please. If that is ok?” Victoria turned to me as if waiting for my approval. “You do not need my permission, my dear. Go have fun, and I will see you shortly.” I told her, and she broke into a smile which pleased me to see. Helen nodded and led Victoria away. Now I was going to find my beta and devise a plan to get revenge on that horrible pack. They would pay for what they had done!

She had been forced to kneel before, and she still remembered the humiliation of losing everything. The memory of the Blackwood intruders came back, their heavy boots on her floors, their cruel smiles, and the way they shoved her down and laughed at her. Helen had once been the Luna of the Crescent Pack, standing beside Alpha Hertos and helping rule one of the strongest packs on the continent. Now she was an old woman who had been beaten, humiliated, and forced to kneel. The memory still hurt. No matter how much time passed, Helen knew she would never forget what they had done to her.

Helen sarcastically asked and cackled like a wicked witch. “This is between you and me now…” I whispered. “Surrender, or I’ll kill you.” “Let’s see if I kill your lover first.” “Helen!” She turned her back and started to run towards Victor, who was being held by Kristine. I followed her carelessly and was about to hold her shoulder, but she shifted her direction, making me precede her. I didn’t even feel her stealing the gun away from my hand. I catapulted myself against Victor’s chest. The next thing I knew, Helen was already pointing the gun at us when I looked behind me.

"That's enough now, Vicky. Stop scaring her—don't you have any ideas?" "Huh?" Vicky turned toward him in shock. "Did you think I'm just scaring her, darling? This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to defeat Helen once and for all… Fine, I'll be frank. I'm not some deity who can make money out of such a huge farm in two months. Helen is in for it now." Helen really snapped at that and pushed Vicky away as she huffed, "T-To think I thought you were helping me out of the kindness of your heart… You're despicable, Vicky!"

Victor came toward us with a woman who seemed to be an older version of Diana but with black hair, “Alphas,” Victor said, “this is Helen, Dianas’ mother.” We shook her hand, “She was hoping that you’ve seen Diana? Helen and a few of the women want to get her ready for tonight.” Connor looked at me, then turned back to them, “She took off to the woods.” Helen scoffed, “That girl is nothing but trouble!” She exclaimed then smiled brightly at us, “I’m sure two strong Alphas such as yourselves will be able to straighten her out.” I fought back a growl, and so did Connor,

In my part, I understood him. ‘Helen was Vincent’s former mate.’ Technically, she should be thankful that she was spared when Olive and Aaron decided to take their revenge to Vincent and his parents. Aaron had used Helen against Vincent, and that was already Helen’s payment for her life. But she crossed the line. She tried to seduce Aaron, who was still emotional unstable because of his wife. If I was in his position, I might have done the same thing. However, there will be Elders and Pack Members who couldn’t understand this.

“Helen made a mistake. She didn’t mean to harm Vicky.” I stopped walking. “You’re saying she did it?” She paused a bit then continued. “Accidentally,” she said after a pause. “She didn’t know the herb was poisoned.” My chest tightened. “And what do you want me to do about that?” She turned to me then, her expression shifting, soft around the edges, the way it always did when she was about to ask something unbearable. Her eyes met mine, calm, cold, unwavering. “Aurora, you know how fragile Helen is. If word spreads, her life here will be over. She’ll be destroyed. You’re stronger. You can survive it.”

"After all, our Coulson fleet would never lose to Ehrlich." Helen's smile was full of arrogance and confidence. Coulson had never lost a sea battle. Not now, and never again. Alicia lowered her gaze and listened intently to Helen's words. Helen was correct. The naval battle would be won by Coulson. This was the unmistakable truth.
