He Chose Her, Then Lost Me Forever

He Chose Her, Then Lost Me Forever

"Give us the drive." Victor looked at the six identical faces standing before him. A dark, wild smile spread across his wet face. "If I can't have the crown, nobody can." Victor drew back his arm, preparing to hurl the silver master drive far out into the deep river. Before his arm could swing, Marcus stepped forward, raising his arm fast– CLANG! Marcus threw his heavy steel flashlight with precision, striking Victor's wrist! Victor gasped in pain, his fingers opening as the silver master drive slipped from his grip, bouncing along the wet wooden planks at the edge of the pier.

Wrecked

Wrecked

There was nothing, absolutely nothing it didn’’t know. “So be it. You'll die anyway if you don't drink it. You have been inhaling snake venom and chemicals for almost an hour now. This is an anti-venom. So be my guest. Just try not to die near the fire.”” He moved an inch before I grabbed at his leg holding only bone. “You should have started with that,” I stuttered with a toothy grin. ** Rafiki had completed his rounds and returned to his spot at the base of the circle. He had gone ahead to explain the anti-venom called Journey. According to him, Journey would take us on a soul-searching trip deep inside our minds.

Pack Wars

Pack Wars

I knew there would be judgment of me choosing an ordinary pack member instead of an Alpha’s daughter. The Alpha of their pack was Vincent Dawn, who had lost his own Luna after the birth of his only child Winnie Dawn. He was angry that he had never gotten a son. Winnie would take over the pack when he died, if that day ever came. He was cautious and didn’t want to die because he felt a woman could not lead a pack. Winnie was sheltered from everyone, including myself. He would be hoping that I would ask her to be my Luna, however. Because of that, I was slightly worried.

Wrecked by my enemy

Wrecked by my enemy

It was as if he knew his son and Damien were watching him from four thousand feet in the air. Victor raised the titanium cylinder, a cold, terrifying smile touching his thin lips. "You are too late, Damien," Victor’s voice projected through the plane's speakers, dry, raspy, and filled with a chilling, absolute triumph. "Arthur and Edmund have already agreed to the terms. The keys are merged. The takeover is complete." Behind Victor, the grand double doors of the drawing room slammed shut, and the video screen flickered once before cutting to static, leaving Damien and Elias trapped in the descending jet as the full, devastating reality of their absolute defeat settled into the cabin.

The Alpha’s Dirty Little Secret

The Alpha’s Dirty Little Secret

"The bond... it’s different, Zack. It’s not Victor. It’s... two of them. One is pulling, the other is pushing. It feels like my head is being split with an axe." "I don't care about your head! I care about the coordinates!" Zack checked the GPS. The signal from Victor’s tactical watch was faint, flickering against the interference of the storm. "They’re on the ridge. High up. Past the tree line." A scavenger droid leaped onto the hood, its drill-arm screaming as it sought the engine block. Camille didn't hesitate. She leaned out the window and emptied a clip into the machine’s sensor array. It slumped, sparks flying, before sliding off into the slush.

SEVER ZERO

SEVER ZERO

Leading the convoy was the Vanguard Behemoth. It didn't drive; it crushed. The massive depleted uranium treads shattered the pristine asphalt of Sector 7 with every revolution. It moved at a steady, unstoppable thirty miles per hour, a creeping mountain of dark metal and bristling weaponry. Behind the Behemoth rolled the captured Blackwatch transport APCs, packed to the brim with the Ironhead militia, their new kinetic rifles poking out of the firing ports. Flanking the APCs were Torque's heavily modified Rat-Rod buggies, their roaring V8 engines sounding like angry insects compared to the deep, tectonic rumble of the siege tank.

Ride Or Ruin The Biker Who Owned My Soul

Ride Or Ruin The Biker Who Owned My Soul

Blood covered my hands, my clothes, and the concrete. His eyes opened just enough to find mine. “Still here,” he whispered. “Yes,” I said, tears burning now. “You are still here.” Then the dock lights all went out. The entire waterfront plunged into darkness. A second later, emergency floodlights snapped on from the eastern stacks. Dozens of rows of red targeting lasers appeared across our chests. Viktor stepped out of the smoke onto the upper crane platform, bleeding, furious, but very much alive. And beside him stood armed reinforcements from the surrendered territory Ruin had given up.

The Destroyer

The Destroyer

I narrowed my eyes and moved through them, swinging my axe with deadly accuracy. “Eugenius! I already took your left hand. Now I’ll take your head.” I called out, pointing my axe at my predecessor. The red aura that has been growing stronger around me surrounded my axe. The blood of the men I killed for standing in my way dripped from its blade. It is time to fulfill the prophecy. I am the Destroyer, and the fall of Olympus is in my hands. I shall not fail my people. I will not fail this world. I will not fail Ismene-Eirene.

A very good read but the ending was suddenly abrupt. After not having an update for longer than normal, I came to check the comments to see if others were clamoring for updates only to see that the story status now said completed. That said, I hope to see other stories set in this world.

What a brilliant and enjoyable read. Fantastic characters, great storyline, definitely a book I could not put down and would happily keep reading if there were more chapters! Looking forward to reading a sequel very soon in the future, thank you author!
