Urban Vampire

Urban Vampire

"If you did you would not have used such a passé term. vampire? That's for myths and legends. We are Neratomay—The Undead. You would know that if you weren't thoroughly human." "I may not have vampire instincts, but I do have survival instincts," I said. "I grew up in the hood, bitch!" I thought about the other room, and like lightening I was there. The craggy-faced vamp was there with me a half second later with a on his face. I had excellent vision, but now I saw with more than my eyes.

Reborn: Keep My Fortune From The Triplets

Reborn: Keep My Fortune From The Triplets

Forcing down my unease, I read it word by word. “According to an old urban legend, once every twelve years, on July 7 at sundown, three chosen boys will appear in the world. “The woman they choose as their mother will bring extraordinary luck to everyone tied to her by blood, marriage, or deep friendship. Money, success, and good fortune will follow them for generations.” So that was it. They all believed this ridiculous legend. They were all waiting for that so-called blessing. But the next paragraph made my blood run cold.

She was looking for some information about vampire legends. "What are you doing?" Michael asked as soon as he saw Emma open her device. "I am googling anything about vampires that we don't know. For example, what causes it to be observed, and how do you kill it? Or is the vampire a virus? Disease? Or is it just a monster?" Emma answered, busy typing something on her cellphone. "What did you find?" Jake asked, too. "Look at this. In one article, it is said that the legend of vampires comes from many cultures, including Romania." Emma showed her cellphone screen to Mike and Jake.

For no reason. “What the fuck?” I asked, through the mind link. “Holy shit. The legend is true.” Jude said. “What legend?” I asked. “That legend isn’t true.” One of my warriors said. “How else do you explain this?” Jude asked. “I don’t know. But it can’t be true. I mean, that was just a story we liked to tell wolf pups so they wouldn’t be so scared of vampires.” The warrior said. “Hey, tell me what fucking legend you are talking about. I’ve never heard about it.” I demanded.

The Ascension

The Ascension

His tales were collected from various sources and compiled alongside some fictional stories made up by Nathan. Two months later, a copy of the book made way into Hana's school. The owner who got scolded by the teacher for reading stuff unrelated to her subject felt embarrassed as all eyes settled on him. Yet not long after, Hana, aka Alice Hevel, approached him to ask about the compilation of short stories, confirming that it was the one about Ley, the helpful spirit of the road. That sparked a lot of interest afterward. It turned out that many schoolmates of Hana also heard about the newest urban legend. As her classmates discussed about the rumors and stories in the internet, debates and c

Quite the unique story in this website. I have read until chapter 50, it's a nice fantasy that is also like just a slice of life, at times heavy, at times just like a breath of fresh air. Only problem is the expensive chapters. Good work though.

SEAL Team Quinn and Devon

SEAL Team Quinn and Devon

What I'd erroneously thought was a sick infantile joke at the hands of my friends just a short while ago has fast become something far more sinister. I clenched my legs tightly together so that I didn't wet myself as the gravity of the situation came crashing down on me. This is the stuff nightmares are made of. An urban legend that you and your friends tell one another late at night in the dark to scare the crap out of each other. What I wouldn't give to be at one of my best friend Connie's crappy sleepovers or trapped in some too real dream. The flop sweat pouring off me in the enclosed space was a solid reminder that this was no dream. Still, it didn't seem real, a bit incongruous if you

Search for the Three Drops of Blood

Sugar Aquarius looked rather miserable and disappointed. “Yeah… I begin to doubt whether the so-called ‘myth’ in our demons-world is true or not,” muttered Virando with his somewhat gazing stare. “If it isn’t true, why is there a kind of urban-legend or myth like that, Boss? There’s no smoke without fire, isn’t it?” “Perhaps it’s just a fairy tale composed by our ancestors in the past, Aquarius… You know, just a kind of bedtime story from the parents to their children…”

He swallowed hard, his voice lowered into a pleading whisper, “One urban legend proves nothing.” “One fake news proves less. And I’ve got evidence to un-legend your urban legend.” I smiled at the resentful lines between the brows with satisfaction and straightened. “Six times, our poor Dante had ‘sons of mafia’ thrown in his face when all he did was walk down the hallway.”

Frequently Asked Questions

One of Korea's most spine-chilling urban legends has to be the story of the 'Red Mask' or 'Bunhongsin.' It's about a cursed theater mask that drives anyone who wears it to madness or death. The tale goes that an actress during the Japanese occupation wore it for a performance and, consumed by the mask's evil, killed her entire troupe before taking her own life. Now, the mask supposedly appears in abandoned theaters or dark corners, waiting for its next victim.

What makes this legend so gripping isn't just the gore—it's the cultural fear of unresolved colonial trauma and the idea of art turning monstrous. Modern retellings often tie it to K-dramas like 'The Cursed' or horror webtoons, where the mask symbolizes suppressed rage. I once stayed up way too late reading variations of this story, and let's just say... I avoided mirrors for a week.
