She leaned forward, her beautiful face twisting into a chilling smile.
“And because I can’t have him… then neither can you.”
She lifted her hand again and her hands on my neck, this time with no hesitation, no trembling.
“Let the game begin, friend.”
Her hand loosened from my neck, dropping to her side.
I gasped for breath, stumbling back slightly.
She stared at me for a few seconds, her expression unreadable.
Then she smiled, a slow, sinister smile that made my stomach twist.
“No,” she whispered, her voice soft and dangerous. “Not today.”
