I nod my head in reply and silently make my way out of the office towards the front entrance. I nod to Hawk as he enters, and together we make our way back to the office. Both Hawk and I choose to stand, facing my brother as we digest what Hawk is telling us. "My sources tell me that early this morning, Vito's body was found slung over the statues of the horses on top of the Soldiers and Sailors memorial at the entrance to Prospect Park." Hawk informs.

I didn't realise her words had germinated in my mind in just a few hours. I showered quickly and put on my clothes, dashing out of the room. I rushed outside to the black car waiting for me. Vito was standing by the passenger door, waiting for me. In the suit, he almost looked like a gentleman. If it wasn't for those scars on his face. They were terrifying and with that huge build, he looked far from gentle. "Let's go." he opened the door and I was greeted with an empty seat. "Where… uhm…" I was more disappointed than waking up alive each day. "C-Can you help me call him?" he arched his brow and I continued quickly. " I-I the thing is-"

he said seriously. “Don’t you always?” Abhay joked then turned serious. “Tell me.” “I need you to find every detail you can about Arthur Stone. Friends, enemies, mistresses, anything you can get your hands on . . . even confidential ones.” He added the last bit because he knew how good Abhay was at digging up dirt. “And also,check security cameras for a white Volvo outside of Paradiso around three in the afternoon yesterday. It must be one of Arthur’s because Sia recognized the car. I want to know which gutter that pig’s been hiding.”

His eyes scanned me from top to bottom, making sure everything was still perfect. He gave a satisfied nod, and cleared his throat, “Listen, Mr Ryder’s suite…He is…” “I know who he is,” I cut in, almost too quickly. Vito raised a brow, but shrugged it off a second later, “Right. Well be careful around him, He's not someone you want to mess with.”

I saw him tense his jaw; a vein popped out on the side of his neck. Gideon didn’t let up; I could see how on edge Logan was but there was nothing I could do. It felt like watching a boxing match, one round after another the hits kept on coming. Gideon tried to bring Logan’s validity into question.
