Diego POV I was floating. No pain. No sound. Everything felt... very quiet. I couldn’t tell if my body existed anymore. I wasn’t sure I was anymore. But there was something. A voice. Faint. Like an echo through water. “Stay with me, Diego. Please...” I hear Miguel’s voice calling out to me his voice laced with pain I could literally feel he is crying even if I couldn’t see. “Miguel?” I tried to respond, but my voice didn’t reach the surface. Nothing did everywhere was too quiet despite all my attempts.

I told her. "Ok, I will send someone. You take care," she told me, and I hummed and cut the call. When I looked at Diego, he was still glaring at me. I went near him and removed the tape from his mouth. I was expecting some more threats or growls from him, but he didn't do anything, just kept glaring at me. I didn't say anything and waited for him to say something. Finally, after taking a few minutes, he opened his mouth. "I want water," he ordered me. I rolled my eyes... {Again, he is lucky that he is under my captivity and not some other hunter}

“Answer it.” Rachel’s heart dropped into her stomach. “Are you serious?” Kristen’s fingers pinched her nipple. “Put it on speaker. Now.” Rachel hesitated for a second, breath shaky. Her fingers moved like they didn’t belong to her. She tapped the screen and activated the speaker. “Hello?” she said, trying to level her voice. Diego’s voice came through sharp, angry. “Rachel. Finally. You’re alive.” Kristen sank to her knees, eyes locked on Rachel’s face. She pushed Rachel’s legs apart and dragged her tongue through the mess between her thighs.

I was stunned, and my heart was hammering in my chest so much that I feared he could hear it. "W... what?" I finally found my voice but it came out in a whisper. All my anger had been forgotten in the heat of the moment, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't hearing things. "Say something, Sage," Diego pleaded softly, his hands running down my cheeks. His voice was raw and filled with emotions.

He stopped right in front of her, close enough for Hazel to catch the scent of his fresh soap and the night air still clinging to his skin. “Miss Hazel Quinn,” Diego whispered, and there was a tone almost like amusement in his voice. “When you’re angry like this… you are very sweet. Adorable, even.”

I picked Asher in my arms when he tried to get close to the water and kissed his head. “You can be all by yourself in the pool, baby, but not the beach,” I sweetly told him while he fought with me to get down. “Not happening,” Diego told Asher. What's with that voice? Why he has suddenly turned so… harsh? “What’s with that voice?” I asked, turning towards him, my brows pulling together at the sudden change in his tone. Diego didn’t answer me. He just looked at me. But not the way he usually did. He looked more… annoyed.

' I watch the movement of his tongue inside his shallowly parted lips as he is about to articulate the letter L. " Jane! " I announced before he could finish calling the name. " . . .my name is Jane. . . Please. " As I plead, he pauses and his eyes peered into me again for a shorter while before a barely visible smile draws at his lower lip. " I'm Diego Enricho. " He closes his eyes and shakes his head. " Just Diego. " His facial expression and voice suddenly turns gay. " Care for a walk, Jane? " He stretches his curved arm to me.

I flinched instantly and stood frozen as Diego got down from it and I breathed a sigh of relief. Watching him tower close to me,I couldn't help but admire him over and over again. Then he reached towards me and slid his hands into his pockets. A lot of people would have confused Diego's age. He was around his late forties or early fifties but appeared much younger. “I'm here to pick you up.” He said,fixing his gaze on me. “Oh yeah…..” The small smile that was stuck up at my lips faded. I didn't realise I had been smiling until he said a word.

I tucked a few silver knives into my jacket and boots and came out of the room. "Will you please bring a chocolate for me?" I heard Diego's voice behind me when I was closing the door. Diego is a five-year-old pup who came in the blue moon pack when he was 2 years old. His father was an alpha and is a good friend of our alpha. He died in an airplane crash with his mate, and alpha Aiden took Diego under his care. When I shifted to the orphanage, Diego got my attention on the very first day. He is the youngest pup in the orphanage and is often bullied by others, and this bullying is one of the primary reasons we bond well together. "And why would I do this, baby?" I teased him, and he pouted.

Hi, I am going to write the next chapter in Diego’s pov and because he’s Spanish, his inner monologue and the exchanges between him and his wolf are Spanish too. However, I don’t speak a word of Spanish and I don’t want you to have to g****e translate the entire inner monologue. So instead I’ll write the whole thing in English and you can imagine it with a thick Spanish accent. In my mind, Diego looks like a young Antonio Banderas or like Diego Luna ( I know he’s Mexican, but still).
