Waiting for Love to Die

Waiting for Love to Die

"This is all my fault, Mom. I'm so sorry for dragging you into this mess." As I stared at Mom's photograph on the headstone, I couldn't shake the memory of five days ago when I'd brought Melissa here to meet her. A smile lit up my face as I held Melissa's hand. "Mom, I'm getting married. This is my fiancee, the woman I'll spend the rest of my life with." But Melissa kept her distance, not offering a single word of commitment. When she saw me talking to Mom's headstone, her voice was sharp with impatience.

On big events or days, I have to pre-cry so I don’t end up getting overwhelmed and bursting into tears at the worst moment. These are just a few techniques I have developed over the years. “Okay, so he’ll be here soon so we have ten minutes.” He says as I look at my watch while we walk towards the back of the restaurant. “What are you talking about? It’s already 7. I should go in and wait. I think I can see him inside.” I say as I try to leave but he holds my arm. “No, always be ten minutes late. The perfect amount of time to make a guy wait. Fifteen minutes are too much and five minutes are barely noticeable.” He tells me making me roll my eyes.

To Tempt My Stepbrother

To Tempt My Stepbrother

I nod along until the words are imprinted on my chest. “I’m okay, Amelia Greene. I’m okay.” My eyes shut as sleep draws me into a hug. When I wake up the next morning, it’s to an email from Loan Dolphin. Amelia’s side of the bed is still warm. I throw my legs over the edge of the bed, massaging my temples as I try to process the content of the email. They want to meet us.

I highly recommend reading this story! This book and it’s characters will forever stay with me! It’s a great story, that you can feel the raw emotions of the characters. I must admit when I started reading, Stranger Things season came on the same week and I have always envisioned Cal as Eddie haha.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC book! I became deeply invested quickly. I binge read ALL 203 chapters in 3 days! The author put such careful thought into the characters & storyline. This book had me feeling a range of emotions. I can't count how many times I cried, laughed, smiled, paniced, or jumped for joy!

Trying to get from under her , that turned out to be a hard task since she was wrapped around me like a twine . I tried to be super quiet and sneaked out of the room, i went to asher room and woke him up too. We had plans tp do with Jennifer this morning. We get out to the backyard and see a very sleepy jenny standing in yoga pants and a hoodie, perfect. "Morning jennifer so here's the deal, we know you got wolf gene inside you, we just need to work on bringing it out. To do that you need ultimate focus, so we gonna work on your mind and body" ~ryan

YOU WAITED

YOU WAITED

Theresa asks me as we wait for Jillian and Amareen. I turn to her. " Amareen is good at what she does, I've checked her out and I don't have much time." " I'm not talking about the planning, I'm talking about her." She gestures to Jill, who shows up with a brunette. " A part of me yes." I tell her, rising to my feet and waving for them to see me. When they do, Jill gets Amareen's attention, pointing to me. I take a much needed breath as they make their way over to us.

Be prepared for different levels of emotion. Interesting storyline that will have you crying at times. There’s also some humor. However, the book has grammatical errors that needs to be edited. Love the ending - very different, but good.

Contract Marriage with the Hurt Billionaire

Contract Marriage with the Hurt Billionaire

What crazy girl would refuse an invitation from a handsome man like you, dear. Jennifer nodded graciously. "Of course. But, I have to get ready for a bit, okay. Will you wait for me?" "That's fine with me." "I promise it won't take long. Just five minutes or ten minutes." The sacred sentence that is relied upon by all women on earth came out of Jennifer's mouth. The man chuckled. He knew those words were just empty words. "All right. Then I'll wait downstairs in the waiting room, okay." "Yes. Sorry for keeping you waiting, okay." Jennifer smiles apologetically.

Puck Me, One More Time

Puck Me, One More Time

I had been in the chair for approximately 6 minutes with a book open on my knee and the first real silence of the day settled around me like something I hadn't known I needed until it arrived. "Your Highness." Jenny appeared at the doorway with her tablet in hand and her posture composed as always. "Today's livestream starts in 15 minutes. The Royal PR team has prepared some key talking points for…" "Jenny." I said it without looking up from the page. Almost a groan, but not quite… I had too much practice at composure for it to fully become one. "Can I please have 15 minutes of peace?" A brief pause. "Yes." She said it with the specific professionalism of someone who had learned that some re

With His Baby, Without Him

With His Baby, Without Him

I stood frozen at the altar in my million-dollar gown, the Moretti signet ring burning a cold circle on my skin, halfway to my knuckle. Two hundred pairs of eyes, all on me. Waiting. I pulled out my own burner. I dialed Leo. Busy. Again. Busy. Thirteen times. Thirteen times, his ghost answered. Voicemail. "Jennifer, maybe we should…" Marco tried to calm me. "Shut. Up." Each word was a shard of ice. He flinched, taking a step back. Five. Whole. Hours. I waited at that altar for five hours. The first hour, I lied to myself. He’ll be back. It's just an emergency.

Ashes Don't Bleed

Ashes Don't Bleed

“No team. Just us. I don’t trust anyone else with this.” Her words weren’t a suggestion — they were command and confession woven together. Kaylee hesitated, then nodded again. “Understood.” -------------- Hours passed. Rain deepened into a steady roar, drumming against the wide windows as time stretched thin. Amara didn’t pace. She didn’t drink. She simply waited — in that controlled stillness that made people forget she could burn the world down when provoked. Kaylee worked beside her in silence, the faint clack of keys cutting through the air. Then a small vibration broke the tension — Kaylee’s phone lighting up with an encrypted notification.

A love to die for....

A love to die for....

Right now all I can hope that Arthur keeps her away from him. The rest of the day was the same with a lot of meetings and paperwork. At least I had something to look forward too, that is, meeting Ana. When it was time i made my way to Moretti & Co. and was waiting for her, that's when I heard the most annoying sound "Oh my God Hades! Are you waiting for me? You should have just called, I would have left immediately" I just looked up from my phone and saw Jennifer standing there with a few other people. I sighed and looked back at my phone as if I didn't hear her but I guess that wasn't enough to ignore her.
