Blake reached into the back seat and handed me a smaller black backpack.
“There’s water, fresh fruit juice, candy, and a chicken sandwich in there,” he said simply.
I blinked, clutching it to my chest like treasure. “Wait… so this is why you told me not to worry?”
He gave the smallest shrug, eyes flicking toward me before looking away. “Maybe.”
