The walker tilted, its servos whining in protest as Kaelor’s beast-strength, pushed past its absolute limit, held the mountain of iron at bay.
"Aradaa, do it now!" Kaelor’s face was purple, blood vessels popping in his eyes. "Kill him!"
Aethelgard executioners leaped from the walker’s underbelly, heading straight for Kaerith’s tent with their humming vibro-blades drawn.
"Get away from her!" Aradaa screamed.
He didn't use the data-pad. He didn't use the wires. Aradaa reached out with both hands, his eyes turning a solid, terrifying white. He reached into the very heart of the Aether network, bypassing every firewall, every shield.
