“He won’t put his sister in harm’s way.” Omen cleared his throat and Jake turned to look at him. “When I was recruited to the Warriors, I had to be sponsored by a permanent member of the club to prospect. It was the same for Weasel, Rebel, and Shadow. Are we going to stick to that or how are we going to recruit new prospects since we currently don’t have any?”

The Valkyrie-Apex armor shrieked a critical damage warning. "Physical attacks are irrelevant," the Warden mocked, expanding its mass. "I am the weight of a thousand dead worlds. I am inflation. I multiply your suffering." Suddenly, the single chain multiplied into a hundred, then a thousand, filling the air with a deadly web of gravitational whips. Jack coughed, wiping the blood from his mouth. He looked at his HUD. The Warden's mass was constantly fluctuating, inflating its attack power exponentially. Jack couldn’t match it physically; the creature was literally using physics as a cheat code.

But guarding the entrance stood a towering figure wreathed in shadow. The entity, weakened but still immensely powerful, loomed before them. Its malevolent gaze fell upon them, a flicker of recognition burning within its fiery eyes. This wasn't just any slumbering titan; it was an ancient enemy, one who recognized the key that had once imprisoned it. Their victory in the chamber seemed insignificant now. They had a key cleansed of Xol'thul's influence, but they were trapped, face-to-face with an enraged titan yearning to break free.

Titan stood up and addressed everyone. "I know I have quite the reputation for being brutal," Titan began, eliciting chuckles from around the room. "But no matter what, I care deeply about the safety of my people. I was given the mantle to serve and I try to do that to the best of my ability. Two rogue spies attacked my home and I did not hesitate to kill them because as a protector, I believed they were threats to my family and employees. At first, we had reason to believe that the attacks were from the Volustran pack. But then my childhood friend Asher, a mercenary, brought me this."

TYSON After my body was able to metabolize all the wolfsbane and finally heal properly, my brother and I started planning the memorial service we'd have to hold later that week. The final count for our pack was ten dead, which was a very good number considering, especially since we had never trained for battle with wolfsbane. The experience still traumatized me, and I was determined to follow through on my dedication to becoming tolerant. No more fucking around. Practically dying out on that battlefield was a huge wake-up call.

“I, James Wulfric, pass the title of alpha to my son, Blake Wulfric.” Following my father, I spoke into the microphone. “I, Blake Wulfric, accept the title of alpha from my father James Wulfric.” We placed our palms together and a warm sensation spread from my father’s palm to mine. We stood that way for about a minute until the sensation passed. I could feel myself becoming tethered to the pack, with a bit of everyone’s energy settling inside me.

The same pair of blue-green eyes looked upon Madchen as she watched them approach her. On the queen’s head was a dainty silver tiara, with a singlet Amethyst stone shining in the middle.Her purple and green wings spread out behind her back, fluttering in happiness. “Welcome home, dear daughter, we have missed you so,” Madchen struggled to open her eyes. The lights nearly blinded her as she sat up and looked around. Her dream had felt so real, so warm and comforting, and she wished she could stay there for all eternity, in peace and happiness.

​The molten orange glare of the geothermal siphon cast long, distorted shadows across the massive cavern of Sector 00. As the monolithic black titanium cylinder fully emerged from the liquid stone, the automated cooling manifolds began to hiss, spraying high-pressure nitrogen vapor that swirled around the towering Vanguard Titan Chassis 01.

Normally, it would only take him a snap of his fingers in summoning his spirit guardian, but because of what happened, his energy levels are so low that it's almost a miracle to have him able to call The Raven.
