Warrior Cats Apprentice Ceremony Novels & Stories

“How could you? You are a murderer! And you will pay for this!” My eyes faded as his grip became tighter. He instantly released me, and I collapsed on the floor. What he said next shattered my heart as if I wasn’t expecting it. “I, Alpha Nath, reject you, Kate.” The weight of his words crushed me. I whimpered in agony, the mate bond fracturing with an audible crack in my soul. I could barely breathe, let alone respond. Nath turned to his father, his voice cold and detached. “Send for Amer. The mating ceremony will proceed.”

A giant screen above the terminal flashed a bold message. "Welcome back, Warrior Serene!" It caught people's attention. They probably thought I was someone important. "Elder Alan, this is too much," I said, managing a faint smile. He stepped forward and wrapped me in a warm, steady embrace. His voice, sounding kind and quietly strong, filled the air. "Remember, Serene. From today, the Darkmoon pack is your home. We are your family, and we'll always support you." Since witnessing Kyle's proposal, I'd been fighting an internal battle, using a Gamma warrior's iron will to keep the emotional storm threatening to shatter me at bay.

Angie deserves a special place among the wolves for all of her hard work. Kate finally makes her way to me. The elder of our wolf pack is standing with Andrew, Cassie, and me as I take her hand to begin the ritual. I am glad she did not wear a veil so I can look upon her beautiful face while we say our vows. I did not warn her how long the ceremony would be or several rituals involved, but I asked the elder to keep it as short and sweet as possible.

For whatever reason, this part of the walk home was always peaceful no matter what was happening in town or on top of the hill. As we walked up the drive, past the iron gates inlaid with golden trees, the brick facade of our expansive packhouse came into view. Omegas hurried about, making preparations for tonight’s ceremony, the ceremony where I would be made Alpha-in-Waiting and officially begin training to take over pack leadership.

The two wolves were taking them to the gym the next day to begin teaching the art of self-defense. Though tired, two of the women, Marta and Sheila, helped cook and had no problem following Madayah's direction in the kitchen. Amy sent wolves bearing gifts of extra chairs for the table and bedding for their new additions. Dinner was less comfortable than the previous weeks with the new additions. Nicolas waited until everyone finished before speaking about his and Vorlyk's plan. "In two nights, we will hold an allegiance ceremony. If you wish to join with my pack, you will give your fealty to Vorlyk and become part of his clan. Each and every one of you will honor him or tell us your plans to

"Scarlett, listen to me. Kill these useless cats, and we'd have six slots. Then we could raise more beasts. We'd be invincible." I wouldn't yield. Chest puffed out, I tried to bluff. "Who said they can't protect me? The eldest isn't blind, the second isn't crippled. They're fine cats." "Anyway," I added, "if you so much as touch them today, you'll regret it!" Dominic stared at me wide-eyed, like I'd gone insane. He hurled the cat bundle to the ground with a thud and cursed, "They're not blind! Only I must be blind to have picked a fool like you! We're done. Don't even think about begging me when the apocalypse hits, you idiot."

I was cursed by a dark witch. If I was not marked by a mate when I came of age at eighteen, I would die alone. Cassian and I grew up together. I had already pictured it, the two of us bonding under the Moon Goddess's blessing at the Full Moon Ceremony on the day I came of age. But on the day we won the war against the rival pack, Garrick, the head Elder, held up a vial and let his gaze sweep across the crowd. "Cassian, you did more than anyone. This healing potion should be yours." I looked at him hopefully. After all, the potion was the only thing that could suppress the curse and keep me alive long enough to come of age. But Cassian avoided my eyes. "Give it to Lilith. She's an Omega. She'

One thing was undeniable, though. Kaden came across as deeply moving in the video. Even those who couldn't understand the language could sense his despair through his expressions and the subtitles. Seraphina held the kitten in her arms, her eyes downcast as she said, "I doubt it. We are all separate beings. No one or wolf is essential to another's life. If he chooses to give up on himself, there's nothing that can be done. No one or wolf should suffer for his sake."

He caught my gaze and gave me a small nod, a silent acknowledgment of the momentous occasion. As the ceremony began, the pack’s elders stepped forward, their robes billowing in the evening breeze. The ancient rites of passage had been performed for centuries, a tradition that signified the passing of leadership from one Alpha to the next. Tyral knelt before the elders, his head bowed in solemn respect as they anointed him with the sacred oils, marking him as the rightful leader of the Blood Moon Pack.

Amara was already awake when I opened my eyes. She stood near the mirror adjusting the ties of her light training tunic. When she noticed I was awake, she turned toward me slightly. "The arena ceremony is today," she said. The fourth day of the Seven-Day Alpha Ceremony. The day when warriors proved their strength in the fighting arena and Alphas selected those worthy to represent them. The entire kingdom would be there. I sat up slowly, rubbing the back of my neck. "Give me a moment," I said. Amara nodded.
