Within seconds, I began to hear the stomping of the men as they gathered together, ready to move. "Quick! Go, go, go!" I ordered, also marching out with the men from the defense unit. Howls and growls filled the air as both the scouts and our men circled each other, some shoving each other lightly to force them to make a move. All the warriors had their claws out while their eyes glowed and their bones crackled with expectation, but I knew better than to let the situation escalate.

Chapter 60: The Gathering Storm The air was thick with tension as the werewolf clans gathered in the central courtyard of the Gaia clan’s stronghold. The looming threat of the rogue werewolves, now more organized and dangerous than ever, had forced even the most rivalrous clans to unite under a common cause.

Only that it wasn’t her anymore. Neither of them spoke as they walked toward the common ground. The night air was cold, carrying the scent of pine and distant smoke from the torches already burning ahead. The deeper they moved into the clearing, the louder the voices became. The entire pack was gathering. Torches blazed in tall iron stands around the open clearing, casting flickering light across dozens of familiar faces. Warriors stood in loose lines near the platform where pack announcements were always made. Elders in long cloaks gathered behind it, their quiet conversations hushed as more wolves arrived.

I think it’s connected to Elder Thorne or someone close to him.” Kai examined the notes carefully, his jaw tightening. “This is serious. We need to prepare. I’ll call the warlord and the warriors. I’ll get the healers and some herbs ready in case there’s a fight.” They left the residence together, heading toward the borderline where the warlord and a group of wolf warriors were already gathering. The warlord, a tall, battle-hardened man named Garrick, greeted them with a nod.

I stated. "You will help me? Can you even fight?" She scrunched her nose, eyeing me up and down. "Ouch" Jia whispered. She knows my mate is insulting me, but I can't do anything about it. What she thinks? Am I a small kid? I can't fight? She doesn't know who I am. "Don't worry my people will help you we have the huge number of strong Warriors capable of taking down a huge army." Alpha said proudly.
