Aria’s POV The council room erupted into voices the moment the border warrior delivered his report. “The western wards were hit?” one of the elders repeated sharply. “That should be impossible.” “I’m telling you what I saw,” the warrior replied, still breathing hard from running. “The barrier darkened for several seconds. It looked like something slammed directly into it.” Mira’s expression tightened with concern while the other elders exchanged uneasy glances. Damon stepped forward immediately. “Were there any intruders?”
