The bond prickled with warning. They didn’t have to wait long. Horns blew from the north. Low, mournful, deliberate. The Ironfang banner appeared first—gray wolf on black. Then Silvermaw’s blue serpent. Then Bloodpeak’s red claw. Four hundred warriors, all armored, all watching. And at their head rode Orin Dravok. He wasn’t alone. Beside him rode Chieftain Rurik of Ironfang, a bear of a man with a scarred face and eyes that missed nothing.

one of the nameless warriors told us. “ Not a problem.” Clayton said, handing them our driver’s licenses before continuing. “ I am Alpha Clayton Winters and this is my Beta Nova Winfred we are from the Ash Wood pack. We are here to get our pack registered with the council.” The two warriors gave me an odd look before the second warrior asked, “She’s your Beta? Doesn’t seem like a proper job for a pretty little thing like her if you ask me.” I looked at him with a glare before saying, “ First of all a he has a name and it’s Nova not pretty little thing.Secondly I can assure you my vagina has never gotten in the way of me doing my job. He said very sarcastically and angrily. “Well if you would have let me finish speaking I would have gotten there.” I retorted back to him sarcastically. “Now, when she came into her wolf she was told that she is the daughter descendant from the moon goddess. Thus, because her wolf has awakened she is demanding that she claim her rightful place as the queen of all supernaturals.” After saying this his face went angry and he began to shake as his alabaster skin with red with anger. I watched him as his jet-black eyes flashed red with the eyes of his wolf shining through. “I WILL NEVER BOW BEFORE A BITCH!!!” He roared.

I assured him. “Again, can’t wait.” He sarcastically said, but I could’ve sworn there was a glint of relief in his eyes. “Enough of this gushy talk, tell me, how do you feel?” “Normal.” “Ok, good start. Come smell me.” Max asked, sticking his neck up for me. I took a whiff, sandalwood, but this time I sneezed at the smell. “Perfect. You're cured for the time being. Now let me go find a way to get rid of these urges for the beast, but not the beast’s sister.” Max began walking out mumbling something along the lines of, “can’t live with um, especially when they don’t let you kill the one thing that could ruin our clan.”
