Watch Not Without My Daughter Novels & Stories

“Do your job.” I clenched my fists, forcing myself to remain calm. “Can I see my child? Just to know she’s safe?” Reynolds pulled out his phone and showed me a video. My heart ached as I watched my daughter playing, oblivious to the danger surrounding her. But something in the video caught my eye—something off, but I couldn’t quite place it. I said nothing and handed the phone back. When I arrived home, a swarm of reporters was waiting for me. Their questions and flashing cameras made my head spin.

For years after her little sister was born Ruby Rowan was treated as nothing more than a servant in her adopted parent’s home. Miracle was praised, loved, and was seen as the “perfect daughter”. Meanwhile Ruby was verbally berated ,ignored, and was the family's punching bag. But then Miracle makes the mistake of taking away the last person she thought cared about her. Her boyfriend. Brandon Franklin was the ‘perfect’ man, handsome, caring, spoiling her with gifts and holding her while she cried. But that was all a lie. He was cheating with her sister, behind her back for three years of their five year relationship. But what happens when she's pushed to her breaking point?

My only comfort is watching the consistent rise and fall of her stomach as she takes slow breaths. 'At least she's alive. There is nothing more we can do than simply be here for her right now' Knox tries to reason with me. I know he's talking sense but every part of my human side is screaming that this is my fault, I should have taken her straight home. "What happened?" Mac's voice draws my attention, as professional as ever although the hurt of seeing his daughter like this was evident in his eyes. I know he's technically her uncle but you can see the bond between them, it's undeniable that he is as much her dad as Alpha Nico.

"We can’t guarantee that your daughter won’t accidentally fall down the stairs and get hurt." I trembled all over, my chest rising and falling fast. Their voices were so loud that the neighbor's door cracked open in curiosity. Ms. Watson saw it, and instead of quieting down, she yelled even louder. "Look, everyone! This is the mother who incited her daughter to hurt herself for compensation! Everyone, please be careful!" The neighbor's door slammed shut with a loud bang. Ms. Watson brushed her hands in satisfaction. "Alright, we've delivered the message. You'd better watch out!"

Shawn almost killed my pup's father and if he had done that, I don't think Maya and Noah would have forgiven me. "Are you both done?" My voice surprises me. Steady. Almost calm. "Because Maya is still out there. Every single minute you two spent on this — " I stop. I have to stop for a second because my throat does something I can't control. I breathe through it. "I don't care about territory. I don't care about business or pack politics or who's allowed to stand where or who called who at what hour of the night. I don't care." My voice cracks on the next part and I can't stop it. "My daughter is missing. And if you care about her at all — either of you — then help me find her. Please."

POV: Sera I couldn’t breathe. The video kept playing on my phone — my mother sitting in our living room, looking tired and worried, completely unaware of the two men in dark clothes watching her through the window like predators. The message underneath was clear: Your mother is next if you don’t convince him to end the contract by morning.

My consciousness hovered above the corridor as the healers covered my body with a white sheet and wheeled me toward the preservation chamber below the healing center. The elder healer’s words still echoed through the hall. My body had never responded to their attempts to draw me back. Mother watched the stretcher disappear down the corridor, and her knees gave out. Father caught her, but her weight dragged them both onto the cold stone floor. He drove his fist into the wall, and blood ran over his knuckles. “I should have looked for her. Why didn’t I even know which room she was staying in?”

“You need to rest. The private teams and the FBI are—” “Don’t tell me to rest!” I snapped, voice cracking. “My daughter is with that psychopath. She’s five months old. She needs her bottle, her bunny, her mother.” Dami whimpered against my chest, sensing my panic. I rocked him automatically, tears slipping down my cheeks again. The city skyline outside the windows blurred into meaningless lights. Somewhere out there, Victor Voss had my little girl. The secure prison line rang. I lunged for it.

My ex-wife, Lillian Harmon, managed to find out where my daughter, Rosetta Coleman, and I were living now, though I had no idea how she did it. She kept hanging around my doorstep, demanding that I let her in. Having reached the end of my rope, I threw the door open and gave her a stern warning. "Ma'am, if you continue to trespass on private property, I'll call the cops!" At those words, her expression hardened. Confusion and disbelief clouded her face. "Daniel, you weren't like this before… We've been married for a decade…"

Was someone watching me right now? Dalton’s growl vibrated through the phone, making me flinch. “Why would you take my daughter out with another man?! Am I dead to you!” So he had seen us. I looked around again, scanning faces, corners, windows… Nothing. Still, I could feel invisible eyes burning into my back. I swallowed hard. “Well, I—” He cut me off with a sound of pure irritation. Quickly, I muttered, “Take care,” and ended the call before he could speak another word.
