she exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air. "You left your Wattpad account open!" Maria shrugged. One time, Maria asked Aubrey if she could use her laptop since hers was broken. Aubrey totally forgot that she was reading a Jordan Hill fanfiction and Maria ended up seeing Aubrey's secret Wattpad account. Ever since that happened, Maria always teased her about her strong admiration for Jordan. "Does he even know?" Maria smirked. Aubrey's eyes went wide when Maria said that and she quickly shook her head. "Don't you dare think about it!" Aubrey said through gritted teeth. "Are you my best friend or my ultimate torturer?" She groaned digging her head in her hands.

I wordlessly climbed onto the bed and looked at her laptop screen. She was on Wattpad, typing away at one of the stories she was busy writing. I frowned. She only ever updated so late at night when she was extremely bothered or extremely sad. Writing was her escape from reality: almost like how reading was mine. I gently took the bowl out of her hands and placed it beside the bed. "Babe, what's wrong?" I asked her gently. She was staring into her lap and I could barely see her expression through the curtain of brown hair surrounding her face. I sighed and put my arms around her, causing her head to rest on my shoulder.
