We Can't Keep Meeting Like This Novels & Stories

If this situation keeps repeating, I'll soon die of nervousness. “Okay, let’s have lunch together,” Kim said, his brows knitting closer. What had been the state of bliss we were enjoying a while ago popped out like bubbles in the air. “But we have no client to meet,” I argued. “We better go back to the office and have lunch there.” “No.”

We were in the middle of a discussion, but all I could think of was Athena; I'm going insane at this point. “What were you saying?” I asked, maintaining a stoic expression, I hate it when people can read me, it makes me feel weak. “About the borders, we haven’t come to a conclusion” Beta Carl replied, and I was already tired of the meeting, I just want to see Athena, that’s all that matters to me right now. “We shall adjourn this meeting to another day and by that time, the two of you should be able to come to a conclusion, I won’t have you arguing before me any longer,” I said, and they looked at each other while I walked out of the grand hall.

“You have pushed the meeting three times already so I think it’s best you take it now.” “But you’re still not fully recovered and you’re also getting discharged today,” he said with longing in his tone. “Can't I just stay?” “Like I said, you can always come back when you’re done with the meeting. You know that business deal is pretty important and since it’s barely going to last for three hours, you should go,” I insisted. “But I don’t want to go, honestly.”

I shot at him. “What? Isn't it a cancer treatment.” I was about to speak but my father held me back. “I think we need to adjourn this meeting,” my father said. “But,” I began to say. “It’s clear we’re not getting anywhere at the moment. We’ll reconvene in two hours.” My father said. I saw Thea smirking as she stood up from her chair. “We’re going to need to talk about this,” I said to my father, as we walked out of the meeting room.

Abel “Can’t we push the meeting by a week? I kind of have some family thing and I don’t think I can make it.” I tell the guy on the other end but he shakes his head. The twins are still on their kind of suspension for the whole of the week and I was hoping I would stay around and monitor their behavior because I have a feeling all this acting up has to do with the fact that I have been traveling a lot, and not paying much attention to them.

"Where's the meeting being held?" "Right in the middle of the village. There's nothing we can do about that—the library has been destroyed and he hasn't had time to rebuild anything. We'll have to make do without notes and such." "Do you know what the meeting is about?" "I believe it's about how we move forward. But to be honest? I think it'll be more serious than that." "Why do you say so?"

Adonis asked eagerly. "Sure! The owners seem to love the concept. Thanks for mentioning that again Bryce." The meeting was very productive, and everyone was back to normal. But what wasn't normal is no one ask to hang out together or get drinks together. Adonis didn't sweat it because he couldn't wait to get back home to his wife. "Well, guys, let's meet three days from now and come up with finished projects of what we want to do so we can have something to bounce off of for the new month. Is there anything else, guys?"

I would actually gladly cancel the meeting just to spend more time with Hazel and the kids but…. “Can't we….” “No, we can't reschedule” he cut me off. He already knew what I was going to suggest. “You've rescheduled this particular meeting four times already. Rescheduling it again would be outrageous” he said. Annoying as he was, he was always right. “Hmph” I sighed, “Fine. Let's go home” I reluctantly agreed as my mind pondered on what my next date with Hazel and the kids would be like. I didn't know what it would be like but it sure as hell was gonna be fun…. ****

Before I could respond, the art teacher called us from the art studio. The ball meeting was the usual at the beginning. My eyes darted around to look for Justin, when I didn't see him, I leaned in to Noah. “What happened to Justin? I haven’t seen him since the last ball meeting.” “He’s out of town with his mom.” Noah answered without looking at me. “Oh… Are you two on good terms now?” Noah just shrugged. He then spoke up, addressing the whole committee. “Do we even need to be doing these physical meetings? We could just create an online group and discuss everything there. Comfortably.”

How do I tell him that I'm bored out of my mind it's been how many hours and they are still holding the meeting. "Are you bored?" he asked. "It's just that these long meetings are just overwhelming that's all but I have to get used to it I guess." He kissed my cheek and got up, "Maybe we should end this meeting for today and continue tomorrow. We are all agitated and some of you can't control your wolves so maybe we should just relax and take it further tomorrow." Everyone nodded and agreed with him well except for Sylvester that is. Damon smiled at me and I did the same. He gave me his hand and I placed my small ones inside his open one. We walked out of the room where the meetings are bein
