After therapy we drove home and I realized I'd started thinking of the estate as home instead of a prison our father had created. "When does the will's cohabitation requirement end?" I asked Adrian. "End of the year," Adrian said. "Another month. Why?" "Just curious if we'll keep living together after," I said. Adrian pulled the car over suddenly and turned to face me. We both cried for a few long minutes and said goodbye, promising to visit each other whenever we can and always be there for each other. It will be a little hard for us to part since we were living together for about eight years, and after so long, we had to go our separate ways. It was always just the two of us; since we lost our parents and everything about us, we were always there for each other. We were together through thick and thin. And separating from each other is not becoming an easy task for us. But sooner or later it had to happen. Drew found his partner, and so did I. We can't go on living together.
