I asked, trying to understand what I heard. That day marked our third anniversary, we've been married for three years there in the Blue Moon Pack. Our affection was just as deep as it was before we got married that everyone in the pack wanted to be like the Alpha and Luna, so I thought. We were in the limelight, not only in the public light but we loved each other so much. I had thought that years later our marriage and this happiness would continue but I was wrong.

I furtherly asked. "Yes, we did. I kissed you first and it happened before we got married. That was just one kiss in the middle of the night, to be honest, and then on our wedding day, and the third kiss happened while we were celebrating. And to answer your second question...no, we haven't. Because after we got married, you got into an accident on our way to the airport and you stayed for months in the hospital after that," he commented with sadness on his face.

I wish I could avoid this session but that would be cruel of me. “ Are you and Justin really married? Are you both still husband and wife? ” he went straight to the point. “ We were married but it's not like what you think. You've seen him and you know he's insanely rich, so it's not difficult for him to get himself a wife. Our marriage was a contracted one, nothing more than a piece of paper,” I said firmly.

' I wondered as I shook my head in disgust. After everything, we relaxed in my car and I turned to face her. "Now that we have the Marriage Certificate, We are supposed to be Husband and wife but we aren't," I told her the moment Mathew left the car. She turned to face me and a deep frown settled on her delicate face. "What do you mean? We are married but we ain't husband and wife?" She asked and I nodded my head coldly.

There was a better way to say that. “We’re getting married.”

But at least we are together now and we're happy. For three years, we have been Secretly Married but now, we will soon be having a child. This is not yet the end of our journey, but the beginning... I know eventually, everything will get better because we have our family, our loving members... And we have each other. - The end -

Sebastian said. "I do not understand," said Charlotte. "It's simple. We get married just to get our families off our backs and we'll go our separate ways after a year. That way, we won't be breaching the term of the contract," Sebastian explained. Charlotte could see what Sebastian was driving at. If they got married, then they would fulfill the terms of the contract. The contract didn't say that they would have to be together for life. It only said that they had to get married to each other.

"We're married." The implication was clear: you don't have to be so formal.

We stood there, watching our reception continue without us, both content to just exist in this moment. "I can't believe we're actually married," I said. "I can't believe you said yes. Twice." "You did ask very nicely." "I'm trainable." "Good. Because I have notes." "Of course you do." Later, after the reception ended and guests departed, we drove to a hotel downtown. No honeymoon yet—we'd planned one for next month, after work settled. In our suite, finally alone, Marcus carried me over the threshold despite my protests. "It's tradition!" "It's archaic!"

Five more days of pretending we were still married. And then, God willing, a lifetime of making it real again.
