Born To Fight

Born To Fight

Brown was as perplexed as every other person including Boxer. Boxer instincts began telling him to give up before it was too late. But before he could give it a thorough thought, Wolfe had already hit him in the face sending him sprawling. He was shocked, then he quickly stood up to fight back but, well, it all just became a one-sided fight. Boxer was punched and kicked and carried and tossed all around the ring without any chance to retaliate. He was sent sprawling times too many to count and spat bucketfuls of blood. And just when he thought he could not take anymore, Wolfe stopped and stepped back. The smile still on his face, encouraging him to to accept defeat.

BOXER

BOXER

-Tomorrow my boy fights and I want you to go see him and tell me what you think- he says as I approach him once I'm off the treadmill. -And why do I have to go, I mean, my opinion is no big deal- I say with a shrug. - You have the blood of a Walker in your veins and you know a lot about boxing, since you were a little girl- he answers confidently. -All right, then send me the address and the time of the fight so I don't forget, what's his name- I ask. -The devil Cambell - he answers smiling. -Okay, as you say- I make a gesture of indifference.

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

He was so hungry that the leftovers in this garbage could now seem like a feast for him. “Isn’t this Swampville’s King of Boxing, Tyler Lancaster?” “You’re right, it’s Tyler Lancaster!” A group of tattooed men came up to Tyler and kicked away the trash can in front of him. “Haha, who knew that Swampville’s King of Boxing would end up eating trash on the streets?” “Sigh, this is too tragic.” One of the men squatted down and grabbed Tyler by his hair but his face clearly seemed like he was enjoying Tyler’s misfortune.

But then she hit a nerve—boxing. “Your physique is impressive. Do you play any sport or just work out to impress girls?” she asked. “Oh, I box,” I said, smiling. I couldn’t help it—I liked compliments. She must’ve caught on. “Wait, are you the guy from that boxing video—the one who knocked out two guys and almost hit his coach?” “You’ve seen it too?” I asked. “Who hasn’t? It’s trending on the school forum.” “You’re on the forum?” she asked.

A Substituted Bride But A Fated Luna

A Substituted Bride But A Fated Luna

Charles’s POV Soon after the game started, I felt very bored. I rolled my eyes and squinted at their game. Although the two boxers on the stage looked very imposing, their boxing skills were really very elementary. Billy fidgeted around me. "This game sucks, right?" I asked him. Billy tugged at his hair and yelled, "Oh my God! They're nothing compared to our pack warriors! I feel like we paid for a children's game!" As soon as he finished, one fighter punched the other, and the rogue, who had failed, crashed into the guardrail, bounced back into the ring and passed out.

The Temporary Husband

The Temporary Husband

It occurs to me that this would be the only way I would ever be taller than him, this or I wear six inch heels. “Boxing??” Slowly his eyes break into a smile. “Yes. Are you interested in boxing?” Finding my seat again, I wipe the corner of my mouth, not sure I want to eat anymore. “I’ve always written action comics, with super powers and stuff. The one I’m currently working on has a boxer for a main character.” He nods slowly, eyes interested, making me want to spill about everything else. Nobody asides Court and my fans have ever been interested in my work.

Her Hidden Billionaire Husband (English)

Her Hidden Billionaire Husband (English)

There was silence in the boxing arena. This part is just for the viewers to take a break from the tight and tense fight. Never before had the audience beaten the boxer and it was resolved so quickly, that the audience in the stands was dumbfounded. Couldn't believe what he saw that the tiger was knocked down by a small-armed bastard. "Fuck!" "I read it right, this boxer is like a paper in front of him." "This can't be someone who was deliberately arranged by the boxing stadium, he is strong."

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

All of them wondered who on earth was that, to command such power. … “Hahaha, that kid’s great! He did not disappoint, no siree!” boasted Boxer, enjoying a hearty meal with his comrades. Boxer’s laughter was insufferable, but no one dared retort. Beside him stood Yang, indifferent as always. Though, his annoyed expression gave hint that he was used to Boxer’s obnoxious laughter. “Oh, I heard about a boy from Starlight, Zephyr, he was pretty good too. It would seem that you owe him your life!” Boxer continued, “Who knew he had such power! It would seem he’ll be the one looking out for you after your enrollment!” Boxer laughed.

Enjoying the book tremendously, the characters names and even the tone of the author changed in the last 1/3 of the book was a bit confusing but was able to adjust to the changes the plot is definitely engaging and keeps you pushing to see how it all plays out for Zepher but it seem to abruptly?

Dirty Games Off Ice

Dirty Games Off Ice

The boxer blocked most of it but one of Jax’s punches got through and the guy staggered. Then the boxer countered with a hook that Jax caught on his forearm instead of his face. I heard the crack, saw Jax’s face twist, but he didn’t stop. He kept swinging until the boxer finally backed up a step, shaking his head. “Enough,” the boxer said, spitting on the sidewalk. “Two against one ain’t my style. You kids have fun explaining those bruises tomorrow.” He turned and walked off like nothing happened, just another Tuesday for him. Jax stood there panting, holding his right hand against his chest like it hurt bad. “You okay?” he asked me, voice rough.

Romanticism System

Romanticism System

He weaved under a flashy cross, returned a compact counter-cross; his arm arced and the end of the motion slashed outward as a prayer against the stage. “Pa-do Chagi!” This time, the wave kicked through air. The sweeping leg rose with intent; the kick carried more than muscle, it carried the certainty that someone would not be moved. A concussive shock rolled from Joonwoo’s boot and hit Choi Row like a gust through a curtain. The boxer stumbled, the crowd inhaled as one.

Frequently Asked Questions

The illustrations in 'The Boxer' absolutely captivated me, but the fights themselves can feel a bit detached from the physics I'm used to seeing in a ring. The creator uses the sport more as a framework for exploring themes of genius, trauma, and the nature of violence rather than providing a play-by-play of technical boxing. If you're coming in looking for a detailed depiction of footwork and strategy akin to 'Hajime no Ippo', you might be frustrated. The emotional impact, however, is staggering. Characters like Yu, who moves through the world like a ghost, create a haunting mood that sticks with you far longer than a standard sports victory.

I'd say it's worth a look for the sheer originality of its atmosphere and the stark, beautiful art style. Just be prepared for a story where the boxing serves the philosophy, not the other way around. The pacing in the later arcs gets a little messy, but the journey there is visually and emotionally intense.
