Chapter 46 Oceana Diner, 13799 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32224, United States Jacob looked around before he cautiously entered the restaurant. He immediately stopped as soon as he came. His eyebrows met. "Too many people. Which one is he here?" he whispered. Jacob started to scan every customer in each table. He's searching for someone. "Where the hell are you?" Today marked Oswin's first official day as a waiter at James' restaurant. When it was time for the restaurant to open, I prayed for everything to go well. I was so relieved that my prayer was heard, for customers seemed to like our new guy. Truthfully, when Oswin shut his mouth like this, he was actually likable. Several times, I caught some female customers sneaking photos on their phones when Oswin wasn't looking. This caused something inside me to want to walk over and snatch their phones to delete the pictures, but I knew better than to do that.

Anthony pulled up to the restaurant he had booked earlier, and as they arrived, Lisa's eyes widened in surprise at the cozy atmosphere. She gazed up at the sign, which read "Oakwood Restaurant" in rustic letters, and couldn't help but notice the charming wooden accents and lush greenery surrounding the entrance. "Wow, this place is so nice," Lisa exclaimed as they stepped inside, her voice filled with admiration. Anthony smiled happily, he was pleased with himself for making an excellent choice.

Amara's POV The grand hall of the pack mansion vibrated with a joyous cacophony—the warm swell of laughter, the delicate clinking of glasses, and the lively strains of traditional pack music. Warm lanterns, strategically placed, cast a soft, golden and amber glow across the vast space, transforming it into an enchanted realm. Tables adorned with fresh forest blooms in vibrant hues and shimmering silver runners caught the light, reflecting the celebratory atmosphere. The air was thick with the scent of roasted meats, sweet pastries, and the earthy aroma of pack members gathered in joyous communion.

After thinking about it, she smiled mischievously, "I won't eat in the private room. I'll send you the address later. Come look for me." She glared at Cassandra and adjusted her armalite. "Stop saying nonsense! He might hear you! I have a shift to start, just go!" Cassandra laughed loudly, closing the door and waving through the glass. She backed the car out and drove toward the city, her heart drumming against her ribs. She pulled up to their usual spot, a high-end restaurant with an amazing view of the skyline. It was the kind of place that felt like a different world compared to the rugged forest of the pack lands. She checked her hair in the rearview mirror one last time
