My alarm was going off so I rolled over and turned it off. I heard my mother hollering from down the stairs. "Willow get up. Your going to be late." I pulled the blanket over my head and yawned. I knew I should've went to bed earlier but I was just starting to get into a really good book and I just couldn't put it down. My name is Willow Addison. I am sixteen and starting my junior year in high school. I have always been a bookworm I guess you can say. Not that I didn't have friends but I have just always been into my studies. I kept impecable grades and stayed out of trouble.

Lila's POV An urgent pounding on the door smashed me out of my sleep at 1:17 AM, or so the digital clock on my nightstand indicated with its red shining across my disorderly bedroom. A sultry summer night of Willow Creek was lying against the windows, the humid air coming in, however, the fan was spinning slowly. I sat up with my heart racing, my sweaty thin tank top still sticking to my skin, and the fabric so transparent that it showed every one of the curves of my braless breasts.

Just like I had done with the witch, I refuse. “No thanks. I’m good.” I look towards the counter, seeking out Willow Thompson. She’s moved from the counter top to the clearing, where a few couples are dancing to some catchy hip hop music. Her boyfriend is spinning her around. He pulls her back in and wraps his arms around her. She laughs. She’s got a look of pure joy on her face. “Come on.” Violet sing songs, reminding me of the fact that we were in the middle of a conversation about coffee. “I’m going running early in the morning and I’m planning to get myself a cup anyway. It’s no big deal getting you one as well.”

Undeterred, Joanna blocked his frequency entirely. Haunted by the image, Ethan cycled through burner frequencies, his messages a desperate trail of ink. The more Joanna read, the more her spirit withered. Ethan swore his wolf had never touched Avery, yet his scent-drenched concern for the Monroe woman was undeniable. Let it burn. From this moon forward, she vowed to turn their territory into a wasteland.

The landscape was alien and foreboding, a surreal amalgamation of shifting shadows and fragmented structures that seemed perpetually on the verge of collapse. Each whisper was like a ghostly touch against her skin, a fleeting sensation that left her shivering. The whispers were disjointed, fragments of conversations, cries, and laughter that seemed to echo from the very walls of Nyxterra. They whispered her name in haunting, fragmented tones, urging her deeper into the darkness.

The steps led to a beautiful garden that was hidden from the common people due to the palace's height. The remaining droplets of rain adorned the leaves and flowers. Wes followed her, observing how her grey dress swept the blades of grass while she looked around curiously. "Since I will never see you again, I have some things I need to get off my chest," she said. "A therapist would be more appropriate for this conversation, but I cannot afford one. So that's what you'll have to do."
