Wendy Griffith Books Novels & Stories

“This is just like the papers that the witch had.” “It is.” She read some more. “But then a love between two witches changed the world. One had skin of bronze. The other had skin of gold .” “Do you know much about Grace Moon?” “I went to a book conference about six years ago, and she signed some of my books.” She lowered and pulled them out. “These ten books right here are the Cravings Series.” “What was it about?”

Chapter 32_ The Trap Wolfe Family House . Dinner was quiet, the way Gracie Wolfe liked it, Mr. Wolfe was cutting his steak slowly, reading something on his tablet. Gracie ate calmly, as if nothing in the world ever moved fast enough to disturb her. Then the dining room doors swung open. Wendy rushed in still wearing heels, her hair slightly messy, her breathing uneven. She didn’t even greet before she spoke. “Something has to be done about that boy!” she burst out.

The years she'd spent abroad treating it must've been so difficult for her, but at least there still had been hope then. But when she returned, I'd extinguished all of that hope little by little. I slapped myself hard. All the horrible things I had done before were now stabbing me in my heart. I pounded my head again and again. Wendy had had late-stage liver cancer and needed money, but I'd called her a greedy gold digger. She must have given up on me. When she asked for a divorce, I'd forced her to chug tons of alcohol. Sasha was right—I was a total scumbag for making a cancer patient drink.

She used the hem of her sweater to wipe the blood off my forehead. "Apologize?" Grace laughed. She grabbed Wendy by the scruff of her neck and pulled her off me. "Look here, Carter. Don't ever think you can order me around, is that fucking clear? Your dad may be a good and respected doctor. But that doesn't change the fact that you are a fucking nobody." A strange look flashed in Wendy's eyes. The look screamed fear. No, it was hesitation and resignation. What Grace had said about Wendy was true, and she couldn’t argue with her.

If she was getting married, she’d want the guy she was marrying to say exactly what Damon had said, and she’d want him to mean every word. Grace sniffed. “But don’t you feel a woman’s place is at home with the children? You do plan on having children don’t you?” she asked. Wendy frowned as she stared at the other woman. Was she for real? “I don’t see that it’s any of your concern whether I want children or not and as for where my place is, it’s wherever I’m the happiest,” Wendy said. “I fail to see how I could possibly be the best wife and mother by staying at home and being miserable.”

I hold her head in my hands, looking for any sign that she understands what I’m saying. “The one with Alpha Reid?” she whispers, her pupils dilating and her breaths becoming shallow. I nod. “That was always my favourite. It was closest to the stories granny Gwynn told me. I tried to find other books like it, but the rest just didn’t measure up. That author only wrote two books and the other is more about witches than werewolves.” She licks her lips, still grinding her pussy in my lap. After how she reacted when she realised what we are, I’m surprised she seems to be taking this in her stride.

She added. I walked back to my room, and carefully placed the gift on my bedside table. It would tell me all I had to know about being a werewolf. I had a feeling that Mrs Griffin didn’t go to the human market. She didn’t want to tell us or specifically me where she had gone to. I walked back to my books, and put them back it their bookshelves. It was no use. I wasn’t reading anymore. I had to help Mrs Griffin with the chores before she goes too far.

Leonard said with a mischievous grin. At that moment, one of the guards approached and handed Leonard some papers. Curiosity piqued, I assumed it was something related to his business or the company. But when he handed the papers to me, he pleaded, “Can you help me read this?” Eager to know what it was, I unfolded the paper_Newspapers and began reading. “Henderson Leonard sets off...” the headline read. But just a few lines in, my breath caught. “Evelyn Wyatt, I’ll choose you over and over in another lifetime. Please, MARRY ME.”

This woman was Gracia. She was a renowned female entrepreneur, philanthropist, and writer of the Southwest region. She had published five books and had thousands of fans. Her books were about the story of a heroine who was as brave as a man. The female lead of her book was named Cora Thompson and she was a soldier at the frontier. Wyvern Peak’s members who read Gracia’s books knew that the inspiration for the main character of these books was Gloria. Perhaps Gracia had missed her sister in her heart all this time.

Now, with Wendy gone, he had lost a collaborator. As Aria predicted, Wendy wouldn't quietly accept her dismissal. Wendy had taken her grievance to Waymond. "Mr. Grisham, I don't understand what kind of doctor she is. She started using needles on Mr. Grisham Senior. And when I simply asked about responsibility, she told me to get out. "Then Mr. Grisham Senior dismissed me. I just..." Wendy lowered her head, crying with apparent distress. "All these years serving the Grishams, I never complained about the work. I was always there when he needed care at night.
