They don't transform like normal people." Roger calmly explained to me. “Because when they were young, their father experimented with many drugs on people, accidentally those things gave them special abilities. Their forms also change when that ability is activated; their strength now exceeds 100 normal werewolves. What's worse is that when they combine that form with wolves, there's nothing more to say." “So what? Am I afraid of them? I've beaten both of them with one hand, after all." Evelyn said confidently.

Blood rushing and pumping at speed as he scrapes a step closer to me. In a flash equal to his speed, if not more, I bolt from my flat-out position with a renewed lease of energy from god knows where and aim for the door. Adrenaline spiking, survival instinct kicking in and praying I turn without even knowing how to. Even though I’m stronger and faster like this in human form since turning, our wolves are way more so. I need to turn, to survive and to heal, to fight. We only heal fast when in form. We only have abilities of extreme strength, ferocious aggression and razor-sharp claws and teeth, when we turn.

Just a different species than us" he looked at me as if I had grown two heads. "Are you kidding me? Did you not feel astonished by their capabilities, even ones? They can transform their human bodies into a wolf. Their strength, sensing and healing abilities, speed... Did nothing interest you? Have you ever thought, 'Why are they the only ones who got this gift from God and not all the humans of this whole world?" I am stunned by his words that I can't even react to anything on this... {I am not getting go

Her pendant—two wolfsbane branches circling opposed helms—snapped and skittered across the gravel, spinning to a stop in a coppery smear. They dragged. She changed. The growl rose first—wet, subterranean—before the body followed. Bones unzipped and reset; sinew braided and surged; fur erupted through skin. In a breath, where Sara had been, a towering brown werewolf stood, eyes molten gold. Her left arm tore free. The blond didn’t even scream as her claws opened him face to gut, a red curtain dropping in one stroke. “The—fuck—RUN!” the big one choked. Three bolted, boots collapsing into slapstick panic. She didn’t chase.

it very well…” She looked out the window, as if to see if the words she was looking for would appear to her in the sky. She turned back to me. “Thea, have you ever heard of werewolves?” I looked at her blankly. “You mean like wild dogs?” Bessie giggled, “oh I’m glad you didn’t say that in front of the others”. She took a breath. “My people, we are…we are able to change our human form, into that of a wolf”. I was speechless. This was mad. It was impossible. I liked Bessie but I began to wonder if she was even sane. Guessing I was not able to respond yet, she went on. “Not many humans know about us, which is why you may have never heard anything like it before. When we become a wolf, we are s
