Something utterly terrifying and deadly.
Claws extended from their fingers, dark and jagged like obsidian. Their eyes glowed an unnatural yellow, not like a wolf’s but like a weak winter's morning sunrise hidden by the clouds. Their faces twisted slightly - cheekbones sharpening, jaws elongating, teeth gleaming like a predator’s. And their movements… they weren’t natural. Too fast, too jittery, like something trying to mimic a wolf but not quite managing it.
Johnathan didn’t hesitate. He met the first one head-on, his movements fluid and precise. He easily matched their speed and strength, but they didn’t fight like us. They didn’t fight to dominate or protect. They fought to destroy.
