_Alina's POV_ In this ancient and mysterious forest, I led a team of werewolf warriors on a difficult journey to find a cure for the plague. Sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, casting dappled shadows on the damp ground, and the air was thick with the scent of decaying leaves and earth. The forest was alive with sounds: the rustling of leaves, the chirping of insects, and the distant calls of unseen creatures. Every step felt heavy with the weight of our mission, and the knowledge that failure was not an option.

Klaus shook his head in the negative, I know he's biting his tongue to keep from swearing at me. "Fine." I took a bone-shaped cookie out of my pocket, just like the kind you give to dogs, and threw it to him. I saw Klaus's pupils widen and then shrink as his anger grew, I saw the cookie fall to the floor, right in front of him, and I heard the rumbling of Klaus's stomach once again. After all, the cookie was made with the finest meats and smelled delicious, even more so for a Lycan, even one with impaired senses.

Werewolf. My blood turned cold. One of them – the red wolf – was coming straight towards me through the trees. Branches snapped. Leaves rustled. The deep growls of a hungry, angry wolf rumbled through my body. I couldn't see him, but I could hear him, smell him. He would be with me in a moment. And I was out in the open, in my human form, unarmed, completely vulnerable.

Immediately something clicked in his mind and he shifted into the werewolf before running in the same direction where Amber’s wolf had left. She was in no mood to take anyone’s shit right now and it seemed like everything had to happen at this moment only. The atmosphere crackled with raw power and primal energy, a testament to the savage nature of the werewolf kind. Maya's heart started thumping in fear. She could feel and hear him getting closer. She ran as fast as she could. But there was nothing in the world that could have stopped the God of werewolves from grabbing its prey. It kept getting closer and closer. In a few seconds she could even hear the sound of its breathing getting louder behind her like a deathly echo. The sounds that she heard felt like the death following her. And before she could turn around to see how far it was, she was thrown down and nailed to the ground by the creature. Her front was pinned to the ground under the paws of the monstrous creature.

It wasn’t until I reached the third cookie and felt my wolf surge forward with such force that my hands shook and my fingers clawed that I realized what was happening. I stared at the half-eaten cookie in my hand with horror. Kelsie had said her mother had told her to bring the cookies. I had assumed her mother had baked them. But if Kelsie was the one who had cooked them… When a wolf fed their mate it strengthened the bond. My wolf actually howled and I felt my head sink back and my mouth open. Fuck. NO! Throwing the cookie away from me like it was poison, I forgot the rest of the food and raced around the house, locking all the doors and windows.

I even counted the ones on the ground, the ones who are still alive are more than ten and I do not have any idea where are they coming from. “Beware of your strength!” I warned them as we have to keep on fighting until we kill all of them. I wasn’t able to hear their response but I am sure they are doing what they know best, to hunt. “Do not run away!” I shouted and throw my spear directly into the werewolf running away. I got its left leg and I immediately run to finish it off. The werewolf raises its claws and desperately reached for my face but I evaded it and took out my knife and pierced it through its heart.

Mika asked, getting closer to Mr Delwood, as if he were ready to start a fight. Mr Koekemoer entered the office then suddenly turned into a werewolf, Mr Gumede followed in as well, then locked the door, to prevent all of us from escaping. Mr Koekemoer jumped onto the table, in between Mika and Mr Delwood, then stared Mika directly into the eye,groaning. While Mr Gumede who had also turned into a wolf, stood at the from the the door entrance. “I know who and what you are. You don’t scare me!” said Mika.
