I hissed back, watching the man’s pitch-black eyes narrow angrily at me. “Is that a threat? Michael Gotham?” Wolverine Silver whispered so quietly that I almost wasn't sure he had spoken. Icy shards of glass slithered down my back to freeze over at the base of my spine. Of all the wolves at the table, it was Wolverine Silver I was most worried about. He had gotten his name because he was somehow immune to silver. Wolverine was a shredded beast on the battle field who could withstand silver attacks even better than us Alphas. We needed him on our side.

Damian stood there, his eyes wide with shock. "What the hell are you?" he breathed. I looked at him, and I knew my eyes were blazing silver, I knew I looked like something otherworldly. Something powerful. Something dangerous. "I'm done being weak," I said, and my voice carried a double tone, mine and my wolf's combined. "I'm done being used. And I'm done running." The silver light pulsed through my veins like lightning, like moonlight made solid. "They want a war?" I smiled, and it wasn't a kind smile. "Then let's give them one.”

I saw movement as I stepped in, but before I could make sense of it, a hand clamped over my mouth, and a hard body pressed against me from behind, pinning me against the tiles, and also pressing a silver blade an inch from my throat. I froze. Not daring to move an inch or do anything as stupid as trying to fight him off. Because he wasn't just holding a regular silver blade, this one was made of Pure silver. He even had thick gloves on just to be able to weild it. Pure Silver was the most lethal weapon to a werewolf. A regular Silver might cause burns and scratches, but this? It would send one straight to the goddess. And I'm sure the goddess isn't benevolent enough to give me a third chance

Rex screamed, and blood instantly stained his chest. The burn of silver prevented the wound from healing. "Awooo—" Suddenly, howls erupted from all around as a hundred Silvermane warriors surrounded them. The "guards" behind me also revealed their sharp, silver claws. Our hidden elite warriors tore off their disguises, unleashed their wolves, and charged. "You..." Rex's wolf eyes widened in disbelief. "Surprised?" I sneered, pulling out the dagger. "The Silvermane Pack's wedding gift is the utter annihilation of you rogues!"

No matter what I did, it would vanish from my hands; the energy only lasted for about fifteen seconds. "That's alright. Overall, you're showing promise. Now that you know how to activate it, it’s more likely you'll be able to use it properly." She smiled, admitting her admiration. "You know, you’re truly impressive. This is the first time I've seen a werewolf who can manifest energy without using their 'wolf form'." She picked up a rock from the ground and showed it to me. A moment later, her eyes began to change, and black energy radiated from her body.
