I clapped my hands to her ears. Vampires? We werewolves haven't heard of vampires in a long time. I've known since I was a little girl that we werewolves used to fight vampires for space a long time ago. Unlike our other enemies, like humans, our war with vampires is much more bitter. The vampire royal family has created an army of powerful dragon riders and church officials who use silver and holy water to target us. Over centuries, after countless bloody sacrifices in the struggle, werewolves occupied the forest, the vampires built a city-state. Werewolves and vampires secretly made a non-aggression pact.

They can’t run as fast as a werewolf or smell anything distinct. Without blood, vampires lose their energy and their body digresses faster than any human.
