Eva whispered as she held out the book for Alana to grab. Alana picked up the book and a small smile formed on her face. Alana knew there was no point in reading the book since it was based on Vampires and their Beloveds. Eva had a mate which meant she didn’t have a beloved. Either way, Alana opened the book and began to read to Eva. There was no harm in letting Eva know how the love between vampires worked.

As we were walking back to our room, Red suddenly ran into a girl who was wearing reading glasses. "I'm sorry," he apologized as we helped her collect her books. "It's all right," the woman said. She looked like someone who enjoyed studying, was petite, had two braids on each side of her shoulders, and wore thick reading glasses. Looking at her ID lace, I could tell she was a vampire. "We'll assist you in carrying these books." I smiled at her and reached for her books, but Red suddenly stopped me and asked the girl. "Are you one of our classmates?" Red asked with a sneer. I know Red is annoyed with our classmates, and the girl also feels Red's annoyance with her.

"They were... too many... couldn't... fight... They took her... to their... lair... deep in the... woods..." Sarah's grip tightened on his arm, her voice pleading. "Please, tell us more. Any details you can remember." The escort's breathing grew shallow. His strength was waning. "I... I tried to fight... but they... overpowered me... Lily... brave... she fought... too... They... knocked her... unconscious... took her away... Please... save her..." Aunt Belinda's voice trembled. "We will, I promise. But first, can you describe the vampires? Anything that could help us identify them?"

My unwilling expression indicated I had no interest in Quentin Bennett anymore. I hadn't expected that me being a third wheel would lead to me being forcibly kissed. "The young lady has such beautiful lips," the makeup artist couldn't help but praise me. I didn't dare to say anything and occasionally glanced at Briella Cortez, observing whether she held a grudge against me. If there was one person I wanted to avoid offending, it was Briella Cortez. In the original book, Briella Cortez was the craziest and most vicious character. She was the first one to "get" Quentin Bennett.

Zayn heard a sound and turned to see a wolf while Bella smiled at him telling him that she just saved his life while Zayn rolled his eyes and turned his head away from her. With a chuckle, Bella turned and could not see the witch that attacked her. She tried to fight theagic that was slowly surrounding her. The magic was dark thus making it difficult for her to breathe. She knew that it was her end and she was ready to accept it. She could not resist any more but then she was pulled out of the darkness. She inhaled deeply and tried to look at the person that was holding her against his chest. She squinted her eyes seeing the vampire as she did not expect to be saved by him.

"Okay, okay, I'll spill. It was... one wild night." Lily's eyebrows shot up. "Wild night? I can see that. Seems that you fought with a vampire." Lily couldn't help herself and let out a playful laugh. "It looks like you had an encounter with a vampire!" Bella looked bewildered. "A vampire? What are you talking about, Lily?" Still chuckling, Lily replied, "Just look in the mirror, Bella. You might figure it out." Bella, her curiosity piqued, approached the nearest mirror. When she caught sight of her reflection, her eyes widened in shock. There, on her neck and across her collarbone, were unmistakable marks and bites.

Azlynn’s P.O.V. “Where?” Bella’s warning alerted me in a heartbeat, activating my mama bear mode. I swiftly picked up Hayley in my arms to protect her from this unexpected danger. Inhaling deeply, I caught the whiff of the freezing aura surrounding us. A sudden wave of putrid blood’s stench nauseated me to the core as my alarming gaze spotted three blood suckers in the last row of the servants. Yes! The Vampires!
