My Dark Desirable Wolf
The road ahead will be hard, but I know now: I’m not powerless.
“Thank you, Isolde.”
“Don’t thank me yet, girl.” The hunter gives me a bitter smile. “What comes next will be worse.”
When I return to the clearing where I left Shadow, the dawn is just beginning to paint the sky in shades of orange and pink. My body is exhausted, but my mind is alert, scanning for any sign of him.
And then—I see him.
Shadow stands at the center of the clearing, bloodied, battered—but alive. His gaze finds mine, and in an instant, I’m running into his arms, wrapping him in the fiercest embrace I can manage.
