“He told me about that. What a crazy story.” Jason’s eyes got wide. “He told you? Then we visited a bookstore where Jason somehow convinced me to buy five different novels. By lunchtime, he was happily telling me about every book he planned to read. And by dinner, he was still talking. Not that I minded it. I actually loved listening to him. Moments like these felt priceless, and it reminded me why I had fought through everything.
