Brodie Six Weeks After Esme’s Disappearance I paced up and down in the small wood we had found. We had already been there too long. Situated on the edge of the Lincolnshire border, the woods were too close to a lot of main roads and it made me nervous. Everything made me nervous. I hadn’t been able to run for weeks, not properly, and it did nothing to help the tension building up inside. With each day that passed, I got more worried about Esme. Jackson wasn’t equipped to deal with what they were both facing.

Pulling out his phone from his pocket, Joshua quickly dialed Greater’s number, but she wasn’t answering. “I think she's in trouble, call Ruben to trace her location.” Josh uttered worriedly scratching the back of his head in panicked. FEW HOURS LATER. The van arrived at a house in the woods. The driver parked, got out, and walked around to the back of the van. He opened the door and pulled out the unconscious Greater, carrying her toward the wooden house nestled among tall bamboo trees. The house itself was constructed from bamboo. He took her inside and laid her on the cold floor. Moments later, the two other men who had been with him stepped into the house.

There must be a big reason behind it. No one attempted to intrude inside because of it's reputation. They didn't know their reason yet, and he is about to find it out. Are there really rouges infesting in this town? Zachary jumped and swiftly landed on the ground. He looked for a tree near the gate that is perfect for hiding. He choose one not too far from it. The silence is deafening. The wind was gentle and the sun was setting. Zachary waited for several hours at the top of the tree, waiting for someone to come out and enter the village.

“He tend to worry in times like this but he’ll be back soon. You don’t have to worry.” Elias nodded to make the two at ease. However, suddenly, Alari went to his direction and dragged him towards the foreign place. They used the dense forest at the back which made Elias wondered where they were going. “Alari, where are we off to? Aunt Helga is going to be mad if we go too far,” he lectured the kid, but Alari ignored her. “I am not familiar here yet.” Until the path they’re walking becomes more clearer and clearer. The woods seemed like columns inside the forest that’s beautifully stood up on its roots. Each woods was tied up a small bagon stem with different flowers covering it.

“See? Basic stuff.” Blaine and Adelina were strolling through the garden and around the house that Wednesday afternoon. He had asked her to narrate what it was like when she was unconscious. Some of the patients he had treated explained sob and quite horrifying stories of their woeful experiences in the 'dark room'. While only a handful had peaceful moments. Adelina seemed to have experienced a little bit of both. "Is it odd that I want to go back to that place? I mean, sometimes I just miss that peace and quiet."

Chapter Nine ~ Aspen ~ I moved through the trees quickly, coughing as smoke snaked its way into my lungs. I tried to cover my mouth as best I could, but it was my eyes that were getting the worst of it. I should’ve known something like this would happen. It’d been two weeks since I stumbled my way into these woods looking for an escape, and life had been anything but kind to us all in that time.

I don't want to have to explain myself to him without having spoken with him about his wolf and mine, and how all will work out, and the thing with his engagement, and Lia's wanting to reject him, there's alot really. "These woods are one of a kind. Not sure where you saw them, but I can assure you, it's nothing like this," he adds, breaking my train of thoughts. Sharon said. "And should we think of going after them?" Elsa asked. "These weapons and armory are advanced, it requires a lot of knowledge and experience." Sharon said. "So a brainy is behind this?" Elsa asked. "A scientist." Maggie said. They all heard a roar in the woods. "am i the only one who heard that?" Aiden asked cleaning his eyes. "There's a werewolf in the woods." Sharon said standing up. They all began they run into the woods. Sharon hid behind a tree and peeped.

He led her out of the cottage and into the woods. Alex led Audrey through the dense forest, his steps silent as he expertly navigated through the trees and undergrowth. Audrey followed closely behind, trying her best to match his pace and remain as quiet as possible. The only sounds that broke the stillness of the woods were the rustling of leaves underfoot and the occasional bird call. As they walked deeper into the woods, Audrey couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that they were entering dangerous territory and that Layla's hideout would be well guarded. She kept her senses on high alert, straining to pick up any sign of danger.
