What's My Name What's My Name From Descendants Novels & Stories

she exhaled my name softly, "No one knows this, but I am a direct descendant of Calandus... I am the daughter of Alpha Nelfas." The world tilted too slowly at this point, and I didn't understand what she was saying for a moment. Wasn't she Amelia's great-granddaughter from a different paternal lineage that had absolutely nothing to do with Calandus? "No," I breathed, shaking my head, my body rigid. "No, that's not—"

I can’t help but correct. “Niccoli then? How exotic.” “No. It’s…” I sigh, embarrassed. “Nicorati Giavano Bencarlo Derosso,” I rattle off the entire absurd mouthful scrawled across my birth certificate. “But not a single one of those names is really mine, alright? It’s just a list of dead relatives my old man liked a whole lot better than he did his own kids.”

"See? They're the same!" Colt leaned closer, his eyes wide. "They really are the same. That's so cool!" "I know! When I asked my daddy about mine, he said I inherited it from him. He has one too, right here." She pointed to her own neck. "He said it's a Kingsley thing. All the Kingsleys have it." "What's a Kingsley?" "That's my last name. Emory Kingsley. Daddy says it's been in our family for generations and generations. Like a million years."

I murmur in her ear. I turn to the girls and wave Nerina over to us. Charlotte gasps in shock, her eyes wide and brimming with tears. “Lottie? Is that you?” She whimpers out. “Um, I’m sorry Charlotte but I’m not Lottie. My name is Nerina and I’m your five-times great granddaughter. My mother, Charlotte, is a descendant of Lottie though, she’s my four-times great grandmother. Also, I don’t know who started the tradition of naming all first born son’s William in our family but seriously, it’s really annoying at family gatherings.” Nerina rambles.

I wasn't sure if he was right, but I knew that no matter what it was, I would love and protect my child. "What should we name him?" Mason asked in an attempt to calm me. "Xavier." I responded as images of my father's face flashed across my mind. "Xavier," Mason repeated, rubbing his chin. "I like it." "I do too." Dax boomed, entering the room. "It is a name worthy of a prince." "Prince?" What did he mean by "prince"? "There is a prophecy that has been passed around the dark lands." Dax began. "About the descendants of the moon wolf."

I know it came out gruff, but I wasn't in the mood for half-truths or protecting me from what was going on. It seemed for the first time in my life I was about to get the whole story up front without having to go hunting for it myself. Wonders never ceased. "You noticed she renamed Meira with a prefix." Sassy head-butted my sister gently. "Hathenemeira is a mix of Haralthazar and Henemordonin, your father and grandfather." Meira's hand stroked his fur as he met her eyes. "Both noble names she can be proud of." "But me?" I caught Dad's jaw grinding as he stared at the stone floor while Sassy turned to me.

It was out of date, the youngest generation consisting of Ulf, Daciana and Kalliope D’Arcadia. Kalliope was my aunt’s name; Lykos had to be her mate’s family name. That meant that Daciana had to be my mother’s name and Ulf was my uncle, the king of the lycans. With my mother and cousin dead, if Ulf had no children of his own, that could make me the sole heir of The Vὅlsung. The pages traced my bloodline back several generations, but none of the names of my ancestors matched with any helpful history.

They're canines, no doubt. "My name is Saskia Reed, Luna of Guttenbrieg." I grind out my first and last name, realising with remote astonishment that it's been eons since I identified myself with my great-grandfather's name. "With me are Wade Crestengalt and Jerald Eason." I wouldn't have known Jerald's family name if I hadn't asked him on our way here. In this time of need, I'm glad I did.

Anubis filled in, surprising me. "Your surname... It's Meriiti... Since you already remember the name... I suppose it won't do any harm to tell you the surname too..." Seeing my confused look, he explained softly. Is that the missing part of my name? Isadora Evangeline Meriiti... Is that how you named me mama and papa? Is that your surname? That name is beautiful... "That's your original name?" Aziel's voice rang out, disturbing my thoughts. "I suppose..."

I said, hoping he didn't need a last name. He glanced up at me. "Full name please." I cringed inwardly. "I actually don't have a surname. My parents never decided on it." I lied. He sat up and crossed his arms on the table. "Everyone here has a first, middle, and last name. Can you please tell me yours?" Ilooked him in the eye and felt my wolf getting a little jumpy at him. "Fine. Sophelia Sinclair Desperte." His head shot up and I nodded.
