Stars began to appear, one by one, and the moon emerged from behind a cloud.
It was full. Or nearly full, at least.
My wolf stirred at the sight of it, and I found myself turning my head to look at Charlotte. Her eyes seemed to catch the fading light, turning the irises a deep, luxurious purplish hue.
She was beautiful. Like a goddess sitting on the sand, or perhaps a siren, waiting for her people to come take her away. Not of this world.
And, Goddess, my wolf wanted to take her and keep her and make her stay on the sand rather than letting her turn into sea foam.
