Where The Summer Wind Blows (book One)

Where The Summer Wind Blows (book One)

Gemma let herself inhale deeply, savoring the moment, the delicate tension, the infinite possibilities. And somewhere, in the hum of the cicadas, the creak of the porch boards, and the gentle stir of the wind, Gemma whispered to her self, a quiet, reverent acknowledgment of what the night had become: “This is where the summer wind blows.”

Against the Wind

Against the Wind

His voice grew smaller as he watched my expression. I sniffed, and tears rolled down my cheeks. The moment I started crying, Harry panicked even more. Flustered, he pulled out a crumpled pack of tissue from his pocket and handed it to me awkwardly. "Thank you, Harry," I said. We walked back side by side in the wind.

The executioner and the Alpha King

The executioner and the Alpha King

Stronger. “Wind, air, and magic,” I continue, my voice steady, “rise upon this dark creature and reveal its true nature.” The ground at my feet stirs, and then the wind answers, sharp and sudden, sweeping up dirt and dry leaves in wild spirals. A small tornado forms, whipping through the clearing with a howling shriek. It spins tighter, faster, charging straight toward the dog. Light gathers in my palms—pure, blinding white—and shoots out in a beam that slams into the twisting wind. It lifts the dog off the ground like a broken doll.

Pregnant And Rejected; His Exclusive Mate

Pregnant And Rejected; His Exclusive Mate

My goddess power surged upward wild, untamed, and pure. The wind responded first. It gathered around me like a living storm, spiraling with impossible speed. The battlefield below erupted in shrieks as the ground trembled. The air thickened—so dense and charged it sparked against every surface it touched. Then, the world exploded into wind. A blinding gust shot outward from my center, sweeping across the southern courtyard like a hurricane. The rogue army screamed as the force of it ripped through them, tossing them into the air like feathers, slamming them into stone, crushing their bodies beneath the sheer pressure.

I just read the preview on the first book. It looks great! I can’t wait to finish it, but I wanted to cheer you on to encourage you to keep writing. Last update was 11/24/23, holidays can be super busy, I saw the cliffhanger at the end of the first book, don’t leave us hanging!

the story line is actually much more intriguing than the initial part 1 of the story where melody and Derek started off. So I don't see why you want to stop it. we are waiting for updates or else Scarlett is such a killer of nice novel

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

"Winds are divided into many kinds. The Wild Wind is only at the Initial Level. Zephyr Khan, how can you resist this test? I have only comprehended 70% of it..." Feng Canyun's eyes narrowed as he looked in the direction of Zephyr Khan and slowly muttered to himself... "Buzz" A crescent-like azure wind blade streaked across the void! This wind blade was so strange that it came and went without a trace. Its ghostly posture was hard to guard against. As this green wind blade slashed past, a deep bone-like scar once again appeared on Zephyr Khan's body. Fresh blood flowed, appearing quite miserable. "Hu!"

Enjoying the book tremendously, the characters names and even the tone of the author changed in the last 1/3 of the book was a bit confusing but was able to adjust to the changes the plot is definitely engaging and keeps you pushing to see how it all plays out for Zepher but it seem to abruptly?

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

Next, the Soil-Thickening Formation that was about to block him was instantly crushed. In a piece of flying mud, the whirring wind sounded like a ghost wailing at night, rolling toward his neck with a deep chill. Then, Xander swung his arm, and his palm met with the wind of blades. Clank! Sparks flew everywhere as Xander grabbed the wind of blades. Next, he roared like an angered beast a few times, taking big steps forward before slamming his foot on the ground. Then, he threw the wind of blades with his backhand.

Even if i still read it, this book stopped being interesting after Grand pure emperor was killed...(that is ch. 2200 maybe) It is like realms are only introduced after he reaches a peak of the previous. There is nothing special about these realms and there is nothing special about the book anymore.

Fated to the Enemy

Fated to the Enemy

LYRA A gust of wind bursts from Lilith’s fingers. The burst is so strong that I cannot stand against it, and it slides me across the floor, smashing me up against the wall on the other side of the room from my mates. Sliding one foot out in front of the other I block the wind from hitting my face with my arms. The wind feels like shards of glass as it whips against my forearms. All I can hear is the sound of wind whipping around my head and Lilith’s evil laugh filling my mind.

Court Of Fae And Ruin

I curled against his chest, feeling his arms tighten around me. "Feeling any stronger?" I whispered, my smile laced with playful warmth as I lay against him. In answer, he extended his hand, fingers splaying outward as though gathering the very air around him. Slowly, he twirled his fingers, conjuring a delicate spiral of wind that danced and whirled, responding to the subtle command of his touch. The miniature vortex shimmered at his fingertips before he released it, sending it drifting gently out the window, where it vanished into the night.

Frequently Asked Questions

I had this exact question a few months back after seeing some incredible panels from it on Tumblr. The hard truth is, there's no completely free, legal way to read the entire 'When the Wind Blows' graphic novel online. Raymond Briggs's estate is pretty tight with the rights. Your best legal option is to check if your local library offers digital loans through services like Hoopla or OverDrive—that's how I finally read it without paying. My library had it on Hoopla, and I could just read it in my browser.

If you're absolutely set on reading it right now and don't mind spending, Amazon Kindle and Comixology have it for purchase as a digital copy. It's not cheap, but it's the official source. I'd really advise against those random 'read comics online' sites; the scans are usually terrible quality and it feels wrong for something as poignant as this. The artwork is half the story, and you need to see it clearly. Honestly, after waiting for a library copy, I ended up buying the physical book because the digital version doesn't quite capture the texture of Briggs's pencil work.
