“What kind of books would you stock?”
“Everything,” I said, warming to the topic. “Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, graphic novels. I’d have a kids’ section with beanbags and toys. A classics corner for the purists. And I’d rotate in local authors, give them space to do readings and signings.”
“Would you do events?”
“Definitely. Book clubs, author talks, writing workshops. Maybe even open mic nights for people to share their own work.”
Grayson smiled. “I’d come to every single one.”
