Little girl's wild side

Little girl's wild side

all alone. And then the city came alive slowly. The street lights went out and were replaced by sunlight. The coldness of the night received and warmth spread. The girl leaned back and unzipped her jacket. She had a cropped tank top underneath her jacket. The girl observed keenly as each leaf came alive, as each bird came awake. And slowly even the skies came alive. That seems to excite her for some reason. The avid calm observant student was gone. A small kid given a cup of ice cream replaced it.

A Whole New World

A Whole New World

It emerged from the vegetation, and my stomach dropped. A wild boar. A massive one, with coarse dark hair and curved tusks that gleamed even in the fading light. 'Oh God. The wild animals Brian mentioned. This is really happening.' 'Of all the ways I imagined dying, "gored by an angry pig in Hawaii" was not on my bingo card.' The boar stood there, maybe twenty feet from me, its small eyes fixed on me with what looked like pure hostility. Its ears were flattened back against its head - a clear sign of aggression I recognized from nature documentaries I'd half-watched while on treadmills.

I loved the story of Essence & Lucian, Sky & Tobias, Hailey & Thompson!! A great blend of sweet and spicy!! I wish the chapters were not split as it made the chapters too short. That is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Otherwise, highly recommend this story!!

The Hybrid pack

The Hybrid pack

The name evokes the image of a vibrant red moon casting its glow over a gathering of wolves, a symbol of our connection to the earth and each other. Moving on, I enter our location: an expansive 250,000 acres of stunning wilderness, cradled in the rugged mountains near the picturesque Rio Grande National Park in Colorado. I can easily envision the breathtaking scenery that surrounds us—the towering pines stretching skyward, their needles whispering secrets in the wind, and the sun-dappled clearings where wildflowers bloom in a riot of color. The beauty of our territory resonates deeply within me, offering a sense of home and a reminder of the wild spirit that resides in all of us.

Too Wild to Tame

Too Wild to Tame

in response to a request for silence. Phantom came to a standstill. He mimicked the actions that Savannah was taking. He felt it too. He does not have any previous experience in forests, much less in one such as this one. Hiking is another activity he abhors. Extreme sports were his thing, but not this particular one. At the same moment, they were aware of the sound of rustling. "Did you hear it?" The woman spoke in a hushed tone. "Yes" was the response he gave.

Beyond and Wild

Beyond and Wild

Startled, I get up from the bed and move toward the window, pulling back the curtain with trembling hands. Outside, under the moonlit sky, a large black wolf stands in the clearing. Its silhouette is striking against the silver light, casting a long shadow on the grass. The wolf’s eyes glow a deep, intense blue as it lifts its head and howls again, a sound that seems to resonate with the very essence of the night.

The Alpha's Babysitter

The Alpha's Babysitter

The gentle breeze whispered through the trees, carrying with it the sweet scent of wildflowers and the promise of a fresh start. Mama Hazel pointed out a family of deer grazing in the distance, their graceful movements a reminder of the harmony and balance of the natural world. Theo watched in awe, feeling a deep connection to the creatures that called the meadow home. As they walked, Mama Hazel shared stories of her own childhood adventures in the meadow, recounting tales of exploration, discovery, and the simple joys of being in nature. Theo listened with wonder, imagining himself as a young boy, running through the fields with a heart full of dreams and possibilities.

THE RUTHLESS ALPHA'S MARKED BRIDE

THE RUTHLESS ALPHA'S MARKED BRIDE

They pitied me for years while I planned a future that never existed. Tears blur everything. I trip over a root and fall hard, scraping my knees, but I push up and keep going. The dress tears at the hem. I do not stop to fix it. I just want to disappear. The trees grow thicker here. I realize I have crossed the border into the Wildlands. Neutral territory. Rogues. Dangerous wolves who answer to no pack. Normally that thought would terrify me. Right now it feels like exactly where I belong. Let something out here end this nightmare.

The Wild Between Us

The Wild Between Us

Like it knew something she didn’t. She rubbed her arms, shaking off the thought. She had sat in the living room alone for a while after Elara had left her but she was starting to feel suffocated so she slipped outside when no one noticed, and decided to go out for an evening walk. The Liaison estate was grand, spreading out into well-trimmed gardens before filling out into the wild treeline. Garrick liked to say he kept the wild at bay, but Irvine often thought the wild kept itself alive, waiting, and bidding. Tonight, she wanted to feel it wrap around her.

20 wild encounters

20 wild encounters

The bed slammed once, twice, and then a heavy silence fell over the house. Lena came right then. She shuddered, her body writhing against her own hand as a wave of heat crashed over her. She buried her face in the pillow to stifle her cries, her eyes wet and her heart racing at a terrifying speed. When the pulsing finally slowed, the silence that followed felt louder than any music.

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

“I don’t know. Daddy says they protect the city, but I don’t see how. They never do anything.” My finger stopped on a worn out book. The faded writing on the spine said Beasts Of The Wild. I pulled it out and flipped it open in the middle. There was a drawing of a yeti-looking creature called a yowg. The description gave details of height, size and hair colour. Dietary information and habitats were also included. I flicked through more pages and found more creatures, some of which I was familiar with. The names, at least. Unfortunately, the book wasn’t organised into alphabetical order, so I had to search a number of pages before I found what I was looking for: Mouse King.
