Where We Left Off Novels & Stories

Sky settled into her usual watchful silence, not gone, but absorbing everything, her attention spread wide. I focused on the road ahead. ‘It's time’, I thought, not directed at anyone, just a quiet acknowledgement. The thought had been lurking since Zeviar insisted we leave immediately. Time to stop running and face what's next. The G-Wagon glided through the morning, carrying us back toward the life we'd temporarily left behind.

I still wasn’t ready to take the leap and leave my job, but I was considering it more and often. “I could get used to this,” I sighed to Cassandra. We were sitting on the couch, her between my legs, me with my arms wrapped around her. We were both sleepy from a late night the night before. We’d gone out dancing, had a bit of tequila, then came back and made love until 3am. It was our last full day since we needed to start heading back to Florida tomorrow, and we had no real plans, except for lounging around, sun-tanning, maybe some swimming.

he anticipated my question. “Now? But we need to prepare. “ “No, we don’t.” After a few more minutes we reached the sea and flew beyond it.

As something built, slowly, on actual ground, instead of wished for above an empty foundation. We sat there a while longer before the day properly started, neither of us in any hurry to move past it. **TO BE CONTINUED...**

For eight years, I'd managed the career of my boyfriend, Aiden White, a famous celebrity. I was also a partner at Veyra Media and the one pulling the strings behind his career. But on our anniversary trip, Aiden and one of the company's top influencers left me behind at a hotel near a volcano. They drove for forty minutes before they even realized I wasn't with them. When Aiden finally answered my call, he sounded more annoyed than concerned. "Scarlett, why didn't you get in the car? We need to hike to the crater by five, or we'll miss the blue flames! We're already almost there. I can't turn around and drive all the way back for you!" "Scarlett can find a ride and meet us here," Karina said

We left to do exactly that, and when we got back to the front of the pack house, we said our goodbyes to her mom and our dad, and then we took off in one of the SUVs I was waiting for us. We did not stop for anything and got there pretty quickly. It was already starting to become nightfall when we pulled up to the mansion. Entering this place again reminds me how many awful experiences had happened here. It almost felt like we were constantly going back into a trial that we kept coming out innocent. Walking to the waiting area, I thought I had run past Miracle by Link. ‘Let’s focus our power, you pull Stan to find his mother and our oup, and I will teach Calvin how to find our Sally while we

" I thought you said you were going to stay here for some time before going back, " Carissa grumpled, folding her arms in annoyance as Victor and I dragged our bags to the living room.

His hands touched my lips, and looked at me deeply, “I had always been saying “fuck the moon goddess…. But now, if I have to grovel at her feet just to keep you by my side, then I will.” I could feel my heart beating so fast as he said that with so much conviction. And he’s making me feel that I chose the right decision. We decided to say our goodbyes to everyone now that we knew what to do. We had overstayed here in Alpha Kamilah and Alpha Magnus’ territory. I guess it's time for us to leave. We didn’t waste any more minutes as Kai and I decided to start our journey back to the Midnight's pack. It was hours away from here, so Kai shifted and made me sit on his back.
