We bade Thomas and Kaelen goodbye. We had solved a part of the puzzle. We had a manufacturer. But we still have a long way to go.

Taking one last look around, we nodded in unision, and began to make way to our destination. End of Book 1

"Open the door and I'll run you over. " My hands automatically went to my lap then. I watched as buildings and signs blurred together, disappearing from view. At one point, I caught the image of the mall Moi had dragged me to only weeks prior to all this mess in the rearview, when I actually realized where we were and we're leaving the town. We were leaving the town. We were leaving Cascade Falls. Where the hell was I going?

I gently place my fork down and take a deep breath. Preparing myself for what I know is going to be a very uncomfortable conversation. It seems we’ve both reached the same conclusion; this can’t wait anymore. Michael clears his throat and places his gripped hands in front of him on the table. I can tell he’s trying to decide how to begin so I give him time to do so. After several moments, he finally speaks. “We need to discuss what you saw yesterday, as well as at the café, and how we can move on from it,” he states all of this very matter of fact.

But I have no idea why he tasted mine, pout. We had finished everything at the amusement park and now heading to the car. We finally left the place, but I noticed that we were not going back the same way we came. I asked Alpha Lincoln, "Where are we going?" He smirked, "You'll see."

“Oh. Then we could just leave through the same—“ I wasn’t able to finish what I was about to say because when we turned around, the hole which led us here is now gone! “Shoot!”

Exactly as we had left it. My breath hitched. “That’s not possible.” Sophie shook her head furiously. “No. We left. We left.” Althea reached out, gripping my arm. “Something brought us back.” Jake’s jaw clenched, his fists tightening at his sides. “Or we never left at all.” A cold shiver crawled up my spine. We had walked all night. And yet, we stood at the edge of the very place we had fought to escape. “We need to figure out what’s happening,” I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
