He was more than just my alpha, he was my mate, my rock, my everything. Time seemed to slip away, and I must have dozed off. When I awoke, the book lay open on the table, a testament to my slumber. The aroma of the food had faded, replaced by a chill that sent a shiver down my spine. I had fallen asleep, completely oblivious to the world around me.

“Anyway, how was your sleep, Uncle? Did you sleep well too? I think so. Otherwise, there's no way you would have snored so loudly. Actually, I woke up because of it. I thought there was a frog near my ear, so I opened my eyes. Apparently, it was you! But I didn't mind you waking me up, because last night was a good night. I felt like I was sleeping with my own father! I will never forget that experience," Summer nodded with a beaming face.

LUCA I slept off, which was rare for me. Insomnia had been my constant companion for years, and the fact that I’d fallen into such a deep sleep was unsettling on its own. But it wasn’t restful. The nightmare clawed at the edges of my mind even now, vivid and merciless.

I didn't realize what was happening around me. “You were daydreaming,” Ash said with amusement in her tone. “Your face is red,” Martha added, and the genuine concern in her voice has me clearing my throat. “I didn't get enough sleep,” I said. “I couldn't focus on the lecture.” It's the truth. I haven't been able to get enough sleep since last night. Mason got some shut-eye before we left the cabin, but I couldn't sleep. I've been wondering whether I'm in reality or if it's all a dream. Everything still seems unbelievable.

"You slept for a month." I laughed. "Right. A month—" I paused, my eyes widening. "A month?!" You've got to be kidding me. I slept for a month? How is that possible?! I could still remember what happened that night, the battle. For me, it felt like a day had passed, and now you're telling me I slept for a month?! "How is that possible?! You didn't try to wake me up?" I exclaimed. Garrick shook his head. "The Alpha did try to wake you, but you remained motionless. If it wasn't for your faint breathing, we'd have fallen into chaos by now."

“Zephyr and Tristan even asked what else you wanted and you just kept going on and on and on.” Zayden’s quiet laugh joins his, but I playfully shove at Zayden’s chest to keep him quiet because there was no way I was talking about food in my sleep. I’d eaten to my fill last night, and I had so much fun that I wouldn’t have been able to eat anything even if they’d offered, so I know for sure that I didn’t say anything about food because I wasn’t even thinking about food when I fell asleep last night. “Maybe you were dreaming. I never talk in my sleep.” I say firmly, doing everything in my power to sell it.

The hidden progress became her greatest weapon. And then came the night everything changed. It was past two in the morning. Ruby was asleep, but when you live in a house filled with conspiracies and people who hate you to the absolute core, your subconscious never truly rests. The faint, almost imperceptible click of her bedroom door unlocking instantly pulled her out of sleep. Ruby didn't move a muscle. She kept her breathing slow, deep, and rhythmic, while her heart hammered violently against her ribs. Soft, careful footsteps draw closer to her bedside.

I gripped the bed sheets tight and started to move my finger in speed. Finally, my back raised a little and orgasm came to its peak. "Ooo who needs a man," I said to myself sleeping naked on the bed. I have no idea when I soundly fall asleep.

I must've really over slept. Maya was still fast asleep so I tapped her and woke her up.
