Aahana's POV There were a group of three birds, they had white plumage, buff tinged heads, and black wingtips. They were chirping relentlessly without stopping. As we walked towards them they were scared, apprehensive of our arrival they gathered at the last point of the space they were seated in. They were so afraid that they were hitting beak continuously on wall in order to find a place to escape. Mr Dark was approaching them with such huge steps, anyone could get scared, they are just pure little souls.

But did the blackbird just talked to me? “Hey, Miss,” said another man who wore a brown shirt and blue jeans. When he talked, I was pretty sure I saw fangs on his teeth. He knocked on my window. “Can you let us in?” He had grey eyes, the same as me, but in a darker shade. Now the brown bird is asking if they could come in. I blinked again. And still the three men –birds would not go away. The third man –the third bird, wore white all over his body. White tuxedo, white pants, his hair was also white and white leather shoes. His eyes were the most beautiful pair of eyes she had ever seen. It was light blue, very contrast to his dark skin.

I watched in awe as they leaped effortlessly across the meadows, their gentle leaps leaving no trace of disturbance. Further along, a group of pheasants took flight, their vibrant feathers painting the sky with streaks of crimson, gold, and emerald. Their wings beat in perfect harmony, creating a symphony of sound that echoed through the air. It was as if nature had orchestrated this spectacle solely for my enjoyment.

It was a blue bird! Li's heart sank into despair. His pupils dilated and his limbs froze. He could feel fear tingling from every strand of his hair to the tip of his feet. That was the logo for the Queen of the underworld. A unique blue bird that had only appeared once in myth. It was said that a white dove represents peace but a blue bird stood between the pinnacle of peace and war. A balance of the two. The Queen of the underworld restored balance to the chaotic world when a war threatening their demise broke out. Her might was known all through the underworld and she was feared as much as she was respected.

Their pure white feathers glisten when wet, and they own the water. The serene environment of the lake grants me the escape I need from reality at times. My familiar escape never loses its exquisiteness, which is why it’s the perfect cure for any stressful time. I sit on the uneven, bumpy ground, looking at the sky, the beautiful white birds bobbing in the water and the stunning pink and purple sky that appears too gorgeous to be authentic.
