The queen’s throne was situated a few steps below the main throne to the left which was occupied by the majestic white queen, Mirabella Swiftwings. Every royal minister, their heirs, soldiers, royal maids and subjects were lined up to meet their crown prince. The dark knight Jaravles Shirk stood by the White Queen who was seated in the throne nervously. The dark knight asked the queen, “My Queen, I can tell how eager you are to meet your dear son.” The white queen took a deep breath and replied to him, “Indeed I am. But,” she paused for a second and Jaravles continued, “Worrying about bride selection?”

It touches the crown.” King Aldric shook his head slowly. “Son, I swear to you that I know of—there has never been a Queen or consort named Zahara in our line. No Kaela. The red thread one is Richard’s, the white one belongs to that young woman, she inherited the blood of a white witch and the green one is…” Marquise inhaled. She paused.

He was going to call it a night and try to get some rest, before he would call in his warrior general to plan any further attack strategies. He clenched his fists as he thought about the treacherous werewolves. How dare they steal the vampire’s opal. They had the audacity to call themselves respectful when they steal from others. They are thieves. Traitors. And they deserve to die.

"As the Alpha, Your Majesty, I have responsibilities that extend beyond this hall." The Queen let out a sigh, her voice softening slightly.
