And this is how the last story about Light and Darkness that I wanted to present to you ends. It was certainly an extraordinary journey, showing different stories, but at the same time touching the same topic - can two such opposing poles as Light and Darkness connect at some point? I'll leave it to your own choice, but one thing is for sure - as Miyuki said in Book 4, wanting to stop the battle between vampires and wizards - Light and Darkness certainly couldn't exist without each other. If there was only Light but no Darkness, what would be its meaning? Likewise, if there was only Darkness in the world, wouldn't its existence be pointless without trying to "devour" the Light?

The blankness tore open, peeled back by the rush of ink, revealing swirls of something beyond—color and shadow and light and places that might be worlds, or might be steps on the way to them. Edges snapped into suggestion: a horizon here, a doorway there, the curve of a streetlamp, the outline of a bed. Nothing fully formed yet, but there—waiting. The pen grew hot in my hand. The hum of other Authors rose to a roar, then broke apart into a thousand different notes, all heading their own ways. The page dissolved in the flood. So did the White Between. The white around me fractured into rushing streaks of blue and gold and black and green—like someone had thrown open every cover in a vast libr

No answer came. After another moment, Adriana shook her head. "I'm imagining things." Even so, she couldn't resist glancing over her shoulder twice before disappearing around the corner. Silence returned. Several minutes passed. Then, a shadow slowly detached itself from the darkness between the towering bookshelves inside the library. It had no clear face. No distinct form. Only two pale eyes glimmered within the darkness. Its gaze rested on the ancient black book. The library remained deathly still. After a long silence, the shadow spoke.
