A Dark Curse
The ink has faded with age, but the words remained legible, their elegance undiminished.
My ancestor’s name stares up at me, almost mockingly. Artemis Black. A name long lost to our history. I’m not even sure if the Shifters know his name still. To them, he’s just the dumbass that had gotten himself, along with his whole pack, cursed. And that was that for them.
But not for us.
Though I knew it was my ancestor that had caused this curse, I’d never read his journal. My father had kept it under lock and key when I was a boy and, when I became Alpha, I had other problems to worry about than some ancient writings.
